You managed to include bands named Deadeye Dick, Golden Earing, Flogging Molly and Screeching Weasel, but no U2 to be found? For shame...

U2's entire body of work (no matter how vast) is in my opinion inferior to 3 of those 4 bands, and Golden Earing was put on this Earth for the singular purpose of providing the song Radar Love for the world... Twilight Zone is an entertaining bonus.

Seriously, have you heard those bands? Deadeye Dick's Different Story is an EXCELLENT album... I really should have just added the whole thing. Flogging Molly is an Irish punk revelation. Screeching Weasel has a funny name but I have never met a serious punk fan that didn't consider them to be one of the greatest sounds of the genre. Their compilation 'Kill the Musicians' is just special.

Another left off the list:

CCR, Bad Moon Risin'; Heard it Thru the Grapevine; Have You Ever Seen the Rain; Someday Never Comes

There is no shame to be found in a man's taste in music who likes The Refreshments and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. While I personally find it hard not to mention U2, I still would never doubt the taste of 02ram.

First ones that came to mind.

Yesterday The Beatles

Layla Eric Clapton

Respect Aretha Franklin

Johnny B Good Chuck Berry

Yes, I'm old.

Best piece of music, the Sheherazade suite by Rimsky-Korsakov.

I guess a "song" has lyrics, though. I'll have to chew on that one.

I've always loved the Sinbad section.

It does inspire.

As far as classical music goes, I'm a huge fan of Nobuo Uematsu. He's the guy that does the music for the Final Fantasy videogame series, which may not be legendary on a musical scale, but the orchestral pieces from certain games are some of the most beautiful and inspiring works I've ever heard. Specifically the orchestral music from the original Final Fantasy, and all the music from Final Fantasy VI, which is regarded by many to be the best music in videogame history (insert "I prefer the beeps from Pong" jokes here).

I guess I should have been more specific.

The songs I listed were just a few that I thought were list worthy. I know it's difficult to narrow just one song down because people have their favorites but maybe the best song that has all the tools. (Vocals, sound, lyrics, etc.)

From the 6&12 string guitar genre:

Bob Dylan-Like a Rolling Stone

REM-Losing My Religion

02, great call on Druken Lullabies. One of my favorite albums I own...:thumb:
