June 23, 200719 yr Monster, the energy drink, from the Captain Thunder site, (http://www.captainthunderracing.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=2188&mode=&order=0&thold=0), is also talking with Hendrick about possible sponsorship of some kind on the car next year, and it's marketed by Anheuser-Busch who, of course, owns Budweiser. Monster is sponsoring a Late-Model car owned by Jr. Motorsports for 10 races this year so, who knows, they may play a role next year, then Budweiser partner back up with Jr. for 2009???

Aren't they on with Robby Gordon's team. That's what his main sponsor is on the car.
June 24, 200719 yr The Gordon sponsorship is a one-race deal, from what I remember reading about it. :thumb:

June 24, 200719 yr Anyone who commits to more than one race at a time for Robbie Gordon is taking a huge chance of loosing their $. Uncle, I was only passing along the information to Pat Dad that I thought it was only for one race. I'm not jealous of that fact since I wouldn't expect anyone to sponsor me for even one race! And, unless you have information that you didn't divulge, Monster could possibly have future race sponsorships already scheduled for Gordon, although I'm not aware of any! But I think it's as good a way as any for them to get noticed and position themselves to become a player with a larger presence in Nacar. :walk:
June 24, 200719 yr Author From Jayski.... Sony and Dale Jr. and more on Adidas UPDATE: Sony will announce Thursday [6/21] that Dale Earnhardt Jr. has signed a personal endorsement contract with the high-end consumer electronics company. Adidas is set to announce another deal with Earnhardt next month. Sony was an easy choice for Earnhardt, an avid online racing gamer who likes high-tech gadgets and computers. He primarily will hawk high-definition products (such as TVs, camcorders, cameras and Blu-ray disc players) for Sony, joining Peyton Manning and Michelle Wie as its high-profile endorsers.(USA Today)(6-21-2007) UPDATE: Sony Electronics announced a personal endorsement deal with #8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. of Jr Motorsports to participate in the company's upcoming marketing efforts. The multi-year deal provides Sony the use of Earnhardt's name, likeness, image, voice and endorsement for use in advertising, promotions and merchandising for consumer marketing campaigns aimed at driving sales of Sony Electronics products. Among the products Earnhardt will promote are Sony's high definition BRAVIA televisions in which he will appear in Sony's new HD ad campaign. In addition, Earnhardt will participate in major electronics industry events and trade shows and will make personal appearances each year on behalf of Sony as part of the agreement. Sony Electronics is an active supporter of NASCAR for the past seven years and is the official high-definition TV partner of NASCAR.(Paine PR)(6-22-2007) Hendrick has said they have plenty of sponsors.. I dont see him dropping his sponsor now to bring on BUD, just not his style. He is a man of his word like him or not; Kellogg has been with him for a long time. I doubt BUD will be JRs sponsor next year, but i could be wrong.

Like I said in another thread from what I have heard on TV the day Jr said he was going to Hendrick's,the national guard only signed a one your deal something that the military dose so the 25 should have a open sponsor on it.

And as a bonus, they got plenty of bone-headed comments from Robbie (I'm just a jacka$$) Gordon. The guy has no class what so ever.
July 13, 200719 yr It is now official, Budweiser will not be a sponsor for Dale Jr. next season. No Bud for Jr. Here's what I see happening, since Budweiser will still sponsor a team next season, I believe that Kyle Busch will be hired by DEI to drive the #8 car and Bud will be the sponsor. This is a win win situation for DEI and Kyle, if it happens.
July 13, 200719 yr Great quote from Little E...you gotta love this guy. "To climb into that red Budweiser car each weekend has always been a privilege," Earnhardt said in the release. "Although Budweiser and I will be unable to continue our partnership beyond this season, I remain committed to driving for Bud the rest of this year, and will continue to make it my beer of choice."
July 13, 200719 yr From Nascar Scene: "Dale Earnhardt Inc. is still talking with Budweiser about the company continuing its team sponsorship of the car being vacated by Dale Earnhardt Jr. at the end of this season. While Budweiser officials confirmed earlier today that the company would not be moving over to Hendrick Motorsports with Earnhardt Jr. for next season, the company did not announce which team it will sponsor in 2008. Budweiser appears to be in discussion with a few teams, including DEI. ...... Siegel added that he'd like to have a driver in place by the end of July. He said that there is no update on the status of the No. 8 and whether that will remain with DEI or go with Earnhardt Jr. to Hendrick." And from Jayski: "UPDATE: Evernham Motorsports owner Ray Evernham says reports that he is close to signing a deal with Budweiser for next season are unfounded. Published reports this week have linked Budweiser with Evernham driver #9-Kasey Kahne for the 2008 season, and while Evernham confirmed that conversations have taken place, he said there is no truth to rumors that he will announce the new deal next week. "We have talked to Budweiser, but they have also spoken to five or six other teams in the Nextel Cup garage," he said.(Motorsports Soapbox).(7-13-2007)"
July 13, 200719 yr I hope that Bud goes with Kyle Busch because his brother has Miller Lite it could work for Bud and Miller o have battling brothers. I am not a fan of either of the two but I see marketing $'s for the sport this way.
