July 16, 200719 yr DEI should put Truex in the Budweiser car if they keep the sponsorship...but, if I were Bud, I'd look into who else I could get into the car before I made that committment. Doesn't make sense to put Kahne in the Bud car, when most of his fans are young girls who aren't old enough to drink. JMO

I'm thinking the most likely choice is Pespi or a PepsiCo product.

It's been a number of years since Mountain Dew was a primary sponsor for a full season.

Strange, though, that when asked what his plans were for when he left the track(since they're off next weekend), he said he was going home to sit on his front porch and drink beer. He didn't say Bud, so it made me wonder if he intended to let the folks at Anheuser Busch know he wasn't happy with them for some reason. :confused:

I just don't think Teresa is going to let him take the # 8 with him , too bad jr fans and the sea of red.
July 20, 200719 yr Question was Did Bud drop JR or did JR drop Bud or did Bud have to stay with DEI for some reason? At the beginning of his move wasn't it said that Bud was going with him? Just something to think about.
July 20, 200719 yr Hendrick had sponsors in place already and probably found out they couldn't make a place for Bud. It sounds like Bud would have been able to go with Jr., since they're talking to others about sponsorship. But when Jr. first announced his decision to leave, it was reported that Bud still had a year remaining on their contract with DEI. So next year must have been an option year and, since Jr. was leaving, it must have given them a reason to look at other opportunities & drivers.
July 22, 200719 yr I thought that DEI would have something to do with it. Will he be able to take the # 8 with him or Will it stay with DEI also?
