^That would be great....but from Dale Jr. and Hendrick's standpoint, wouldn't it almost be better to change up numbers? It seems that from a marketing perspective, that would allow for a bit more profitability as far as merchandise sales go. It's something to think about, but I'd really rather see him in the 8. Otherwise, I'll be doing a lot of redecorating.

 

I really believe that Jr wants to keep the #8. More of a fan issue, for him, than money. At least I would hope.

just saw on ESPNEWS that NASCAR will not let DEI sell the number 8 to Hendrick because DEI dosen't own it NASCAR dose,DEI may let Hendrick use it but they can not buy it.

So I dont see JR in the 8 next year.

Its a funny thing to me. Dale Sr. bought the #8 off Stavola Brothers racing in '99 when he formed JRs team. NASCAR just want THEYRE pockets greased. If Hendrick gets one of JRs new sponsors to be a an "official" sponsor for the series theyll let the deal happen.

I want to start this by saying I'm a JR. fan.
