NE All-Star Game West 12 East 7

Featured Replies

Great defensive game. Neither team really got much going on offense. It was a fun game to watch and I enjoyed seeing all the local talent play one game together.

East Defensive Player of the Game - J.T. Forest, Raceland. J.T. must have had 20 tackles, and one blocked field goal attempt.

East Offensive Player of the Game - Josh Wills, Russell.

Sorry, I did not remember the names of winners for the west team, maybe someone can help out with those players.

West Players of the Game

Defense: Richard Wells, Mason County

Offense: Clint Greene, Clark County

Good, hard-hitting defensive game. Great diving TD catch by the East's Marcus Frazier from Grizzle to start the second half after a scoreless first half. Lewis County's D.J. Jordan had a big return on the next kickoff, setting up a Clint Greene score. Trick play for the 2-point conversion didn't work. A blocked kick set up the West for Greene's second score.

Biggest hit of the game was on the final punt of the game, as someone (I wish I could remember who) timed the hit perfectly (there must have been half a dozen West fans who hollered "Down goes Frazier" at the same time).

Good hard-fought game; the West side just made one more big play. Congrats to all the players; special congrats from me to Richard Wells, who had a boatload of stops for the West squad.

Marcus Frazier of Russell was the offensive MVP for the East.

Almost as entertaining as the game was the PA announcer, who may or may not have known that his mike was open much of the time.

For example, after announcing a play:

..."His mom drove a long way for the game; she deserves to hear her kid's name.":D

Congrats to J.T. Forrest and Marcus Frazier for their MVP honors.:thumb:

Big hit of the game was from Bath County's Wayne Stevens. There was a great atmosphere and effort from both sides last night. This is a wonderful opportunity for the kids in this area. I hope this tradition continues.

Congrats to all of the players and coaches on both sides in this game. Imo there are no winners or losers, they are all winners or they would not be playing in the game. :ylsuper: . Congrats to J.T. Forrest of the Raceland Rams "Orange Crush" for defensive player of the game and to Russell's Marcus Frazier for MVP on the "O" side of the ball. I am glad that Raceland's Scott Grizzle got one more h.s. TD pass as well ;) .

#42 Clint Greene, had a 45 yard td for the west, that was tight. And Grizzle pass to Frazier :thumb: thats something you dont see every friday night at a high school game:eek:

My apologies to Marcus. It was late when I made my first post.

I would also like to recognize some great plays made at this game by the above mentioned and White,Thompson,Davis these three also helped contribute in a big way. I am sure I am leaving people out also so shout out a name for the East or West and lets recognize these boys as their last high school game comes to an end. Way to go guys we are proud of all of you.

Your right oldram, Clint Thompson layed some nice hits on defense, JT Forest was clearly on his "A" game. Just to brag a little one fan from another school came up to me and said, "I just wanted to tell some one from Raceland that those two defensive players from Raceland are some of the best that I have seen", paraphrased a little but that was the pretty close.

Well that sure is such is a nice compliment and I will pass it along to those two boys. I think their KCU coaches were pleased. We were all scattered in the stands but it was nice for the entire area sitting side by side cheering on those boys. I am glad all those boys got to work together if you looked at the program there were alot of KCU down so there will be many more times.

Again great job to all and congrads to Forrest, Joey, Fields, Marcus, Thompson, Grizzle, and the rest of the East Team.

Congratulations on the win West.

Does anyone know why Kasey Clark was not on the team???

Yes because he is playing in the ky/tenn game. His brother stated to a family friend just the other day that he would have liked to play but couldnt. He had to go be at Murray for something also so between the two it kept him out.
