Dixie over Highlands 2-1 in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Final : Dixie 2 Highlands 1 (8 innings)

Nichols went all 8 for Dixie. The game was scoreless until the 6th. Dixie scored the winning run in the botton of the 8th on a two out based-loaded single.

Nice win for Dixie.

Cov Cath 2 Boone County 0 after 1st inning.

CCH 2 BC 0 after the 2nd inning

Nichols went all 8 and only threw 98 pitches! What a game he threw, no walks and 7 strike outs. Big Joe Schaeper went 2 for 4 and Cahill hit a double then Labrano hit a single with bases loaded to win it in the bottom of 8. Dixie you should be really proud of yourselves!

Congrats to Dixie on the win and Nichols for ptiching a gem of a game.

Ryle/Beechwood should be a good game with Elliot on the mound but I see Ryle winning this one again in similar fashion as game 1.

Who threw for the Raiders against Ludlow?

Ryle threw some lefty against Ludlow but I dont know his name...

4 - 0, CovCath, top of the 6th.

I want to congrats Ryle on the win today...But now I want to let off some steam. I am tired of seeing umps give the close calls to the bigger schools, or more respected programs. There was two calls in the first two innings that had a big impact. Ryle in the first inning scored 2 runs in the first inning, but shouldn't have scored any. The catcher missed a ball that should have been error because it should have been caught, but it went down as a wild pitch and the scored from third for one run. But the guy ended up gettin walked and making 1st and 3rd with two outs, and the guy on first tried to steal second and the guy looked clearly out but was called safe and the guy on 3rd scored in the proces. So unless the 2nd baseman missed the tag, the guy was clearly out. But Ryle got the benefit of the doubt on the play and got one more run out of it. Then in the second inning with two outs basesloaded there was was a grounded in the hole that Ludlow field and threw to second for the force, but the ump called him safe when once again I think the Ryle fans would even admit that he was out, so they scored a run on that and scored two more after that play. So it should have been just a two run inning, instead it was a 4 run inning. So the game should have just been a 3 to 0 game instead of a 6 to 0 game and something like that is huge, because it kills any confidence in a team that is trying to get a big upset over the #1 team in the region. I not saying Ludlow would have won, because they couldn't come close to hitting the pitcher today, but still it just gets old seeing big school or respected programs get all the close calls. I have seen it to many times for many different schools besides just Ludlow...

Ryle was the only team I had not see in the region this year, and after seeing them I even more convince that the 9th region this year is definitely the weakest it has been in MANY years....
