NHS BIG DADDY Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Ok, I'll admit it, I have no idea who this is. Any background G? He's coached a couple sports at Newport for at least 10 years now. He was the JV baseball head coach for a long time and at one point was the Middle School football head coach. Lately he has been an assitant on both the Varsity football and baseball teams. I believe the last couple of years he has been coaching the DB's. Sounds like he they only want him to have 5 coaches on staff and from what I have heard he wants to have a lot of Newport people on staff.

GPFAN Posted May 30, 2007 Posted May 30, 2007 From what i remember about about Jim Hyder, he was a baseball player at Georgetown but also coached football and baseball at Npt. since the early 80"s so I think it"s about time Npt. gives him a chance. Great guy and great with with kids.
