When do you think Lexington will compete?

Featured Replies

So you are saying Trinity's district has been the toughest in 4A most years?

My point is you say Manual needs to quit using the excuse that their district is so tough but then you also knock them for not making the regional game. I am saying you can't have it both ways. They haven't made the regional game because their district is that tough. They have to beat either Male or X every year to either get to the regional championship or beat one of them in the regional championship.

Trinity has to beat Male or St. X to win State:thumb:

Right there Mr. Woodsrider. WOW! :ylsuper:

So, are you totally missing the word 'you' in that sentence?
Before being so hard on one of the best academic schools in the state, I'd at least learn the difference between "there" and "they're"...

I'm curious though pld...you stated earlier that it doesn't matter how much you win or lose by, because regardless of the score, you either win or lose. That was your defense against people showing you how Manual has faired better against X/T/Male than the Lexington schools 90% of the time. I am correct in saying this, right? Well, if I am, then I'm wondering what happened from the time of this post to now. In that post, you state that Cincy schools don't blow out HHS and CovCath, so they're not "heads and shoulders" above them. If I understand that post correctly, you're saying that the score does matter, but now you've changed your tune. If the scores do matter (and I think they do), then the empirical evidence presented earlier that compared game scores across several years, should show you that Manual is probably as good or better than what Lexington has to offer. Of course, past performance is not an indicator of future results.

The problem with your side of the debate, is that you offer very little evidence to show why you don't think they are, rather you sling mud.

Buddy, I didn't compare HHS and CovCath to anyone in Ohio. You should learn to read. I hear X is good in academics as well. Wow, first you talk about me, then you make something up. You say what you want about Lexington, but you can't prove that anything I'm saying is wrong either. You wanna talk about scores, then lets talk about when those scores occur. The first five weeks vs. the state semi's. Now you as a X fan should've learned soemthing from twop years ago, but I guess school was out for you then. You talk about evidence, that's one you can't ignore,..............Buddy!

I highlighted that because if you paid attention, he turned right around and used the same excuse a couple of sentences later. :D

Yep, but nobody has it harder than Manual, who doesn't even win the first round match-up half the time. They should be comparing themselves to that district before challenging ours.

No, you got caught.

You claimed:

You say Manual needs to quit with the excuses, right?

And clearly woodsrider did NOT say that. He asks you to show where he said that:

I would love for you to show me where I said this.

Then you pull the post where you think he said it:

Except you got burned because you misread it. Mistakes happen all the time, especially when we try to play Matlock with the 'AHA!' moment on the witness stand. Lord knows I've done it on here before. But you should own it.

Since when is Dunbar on the East side of Louisville? A little hero-worship?

And check it out, PepRock01 is saying that the R2D4 was the toughest district in the state.

No, you got caught.

Okay Ram, I'm sorry. He just said it. He said it was because the district was tough. What a joke! :sssh:

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that a rational person can look back at this thread and see the points made by westsider, woodsrider, PepRock01, the Ram Bros, Rockpride, BuddyBW, myself and others and compare them to yours.

And now I do need to get out of here, as I would really loathe being suspended over this. Peace.

That's nice that PepRock01 said that. Real nice. Nothing against PR, but is he a god to you or something? Should I believe it because he said it? Like you said, "everyone makes mistakes". PR, that district does have quite a few state titles, but doesn't the former 3A, now 5A, district in NKY have more?

This point of Louisville vs. Lexington can only be proven on the football field. Ratings, personal belief, another man's credit, etc. means nothing. Games and final outcomes determine all, that's why the game is played. Trinity is the ONLY school since '00 in Louisville that has proven to be superior to Lexington schools when it matters the most, state playoffs. As for the other schools, I'm not saying that either is better because it hasn't come up on the field. Maybe one day it will. But until that day, everyone is in the same pot. Chasing the Trinity Shamrocks and nobody else. That's the reality that all teams in class 6A face every year.

God help me, I'm coming back for more, because that can't go unanswered.

In every year since '00 with the exception of 2004 and 2006, it was impossible for an R2D4 school to play Lexington in the playoffs because Trinity had first dibs, being on the opposite side of the bracket. There is absolutely no logic to that proving anything, because the west side of Louisville hardly ever got the chance to play a Lexington school- Trinity took care of business before anyone else even had the chance. When Trinity wasn't in the way in 2004, X destroyed the Eastern rep. The only year that R2D4 had an equal chance to play 'Eastern' schools was last year. Are you really ready to base all this on one year?

No matter what you say, there's more to the pecking order at the top of the biggest class of football in Kentucky than just Trinity and everyone else. Trinity is on top, but they're first among equals in the Big 3. Then the second tier schools like Manual, PRP, Warren Central, Henry Clay, and a few others.

He misread your comment about the old 4A now 6A.
I knew that ... just wanted to see if he could figure it out.

Kinda adds to the "lack of reading comprehension" argument, huh? ;)

Guess who else has joined in on the nonsense side?
The vast majority of nonsense in this thread is being spouted by one, and only one, poster ... guess who?
