Of course Boyd County is the favorite to win the 16th region yet again, however I have heard alot of people saying that they think Boyd won't take the crown this year., if Boyd doesn't win this year, who will be crowned the new champs in your opinions?

Imo if Boyd does not win it (and I believe that they will) then I look for Greenup Co. to make a serious run and possibly win.

IMO the top 4 teams leaft in the race are(in no order)

 

Greenup,Rowan,East Carter, and Boyd any of which could win this region.

I am sure that I can speak for all Raceland fans when I say Thank You.

If Boyd does not take home the crown this year I believe it will be a few more years before they even get the chance again. This is there big year to show what they can do because after they loose there graduating class they do not appear as strong.

I agree, but why do you have Rowan picked as being better then both Greenup and East, Rowan threw there ace(Martin I think is his name) and Greenup still won in a hard fought battle, I can understand East being above Greenup since they did beat us 2 X's this season

Yes Greenup is a very talented team and I think that they will have a nice run in the regionals but after watching both teams this year i have a feeling that if it came down to those two teams playing that Rowan would come out on top. Both teams should do good in the tournement and have nice runs in the post season.

Boyd is easily the favorite but are also very capable of being beat in the region. They look like a state championship contender one day and like a little league team the next. The hitting worries me the most, it's been very inconsistent this year.

 

Boyd is not as strong of a team as they have been in years past. I look for them to win the region but not go far after that.

Boyd definitly has the pitching to win the region this season. In fact, they are one of the few teams with 3 quality starters. But if they are knocked off, I would look for Greenup to win it all.

yes i agree but Greenup is another team w/ 3 good pitchers in Benly, Hieneman, and Wright

I dont forsee anyone knocking Boyd off. If it would happen it would surprise a lot of people. But anything can happen and it has somewhat been a roller coaster year for Boyd too, so we will just have to wait and see what happens, but I am sticking with Boyd.
