We could eliminate muslim terrorist by locking up every Muslim as well, but I am also pretty sure that is also Unconstitutional.

Too simplistic of a comparison.

The framers of our Constitution wanted an armed population to defend against possible tyranny, including from government. That is the spirit of the militia that you mentioned earlier. While I do not belive that is necessary, I do believe that it is a gross infringement of my rights as a citizen to keep me from being able to buy a firearm without a felony conviction. It is not to simplistic. It is very comprable. Where do rights cross one another. We already have a background check, which I agree with. We already require courses for concealed carry. We already require an FFL for automatic weapons, which I also agree with. Therefore, what more do you purpose that would not cross the line?

I believe just the opposite is true. The militia (embodied in the National Guard) is as vital today as it always was. But common sense restrictions on the ownership of ridiculous types of guns and the availability of guns to those who are unstable or unqualified isn't an infringement on anyone's actual "rights".

Once again I ask, what is a legitimate course of action for new gun Control legislation? What do you propose?

Fortunately, I'm not a polititian; so I don't need to propose anything.

That is a good point.:D However, some of your rhetorical skills indicate that you should perhaps become a politician.

Thanks; but I don't think my "rhetoric batteries" could ever carry that kind of charge.

OK, please list the "ridiculous types of guns" you are speaking of.

Also, how do we determine who is unstable?
