Conner wins 8-7 scoring 2 in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs.

Could be your calling:thumb: If you are qualified enough to critique them, your obviously qualified enough to step behind the plate and show them how it should be done.

Being praised and criticized goes with any profession. reSimply giving my opinion on what I have witnessed thus far this year.... Have to say, the umps last night (CCHS-vs-Ludlow game) were outstanding. They were consent with the strike zone and hustled to make their calls in the field. That is all any coach, player, fan can ask for and sorry to say that has not been the case this year, at least not with the consistence that it has been in the past few years.

Who won Boone Co. vs. Beechwood? Did St. Henry advance?

Games Today:

Holy Cross -vs- Cov. Cath

Dixie -vs- Campbell Co.

St. Henry -vs- Beechwood

Conner -vs- RYLE

Not sure where or what time the above games will be played.

Regardless of who wins the above games I believe this is the schedule, weather permitting:

Semi-Finals:

Friday May 18th - 5:00 @ Cov. Cath

Firday May 18th - 5:00 @ New Cath

Finals: Saturday May 19th - 4:00 @ Dixie

Do we know where the games are at today? If close I would like to catch one of these games.

Assuming not rained out, Conner and Ryle play at Conner's field at 5:00. Not sure what Conner's field looks like, but driving by Ryle's this morning it looked totally unplayable.

St Henry at Beechwood - 5-00 AS OF 4-15 THEY ARE PLAYING

In a score not at all indicative of the relative strength of these two teams, Ryle beats Conner 14-3 in 5 innings. Ryle did hit the ball very hard tonight up and down the lineup, but overall it just seemed to be one of those games where the baseball gods were smiling upon Ryle and . . . well, not smiling upon Conner, I guess. Conner is a good team, has some really talented players, and had a good year overall, so congrats to them on their season.

On another note, the Ryle JV team sets the school record tonight for most wins in a season and now sits on a 24-3 record. When they bring their hitting sticks - as they have been doing regularly as of late - they are a very tough team to beat, as they have had first rate defense and pitching all year long. Next on to Moersher (sp?) Park this Friday to face the winner of Beechwood/St. Henry.

Campbell Co 6 Dixie 3

Scoreless game into the 6th inning when CCHS scored one run with 5 more in the top of the 7th. Dixie scored 3 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the seventh on a home run. Joe Reif (sp?) pitched a complete game for CC.

Way to go Camels!

CovCath beat Cov Holy Cross in nine innings by a score of 6-5. Wehry of CovCath pitched against Barth of Cov Holy Cross. Both teams had some defensive lapses but over all it was a good game with both teams getting some clutch hitting from their batters.

So, what are the match ups for the semi's on Friday?

CCH/Camp at CCH and BHS/Ryle at NCC?
