Way to go camels! You all beat a very good dixie team tonight with good defense and pitching on both sides. Keep the bats going and you all will be tough team to beat.

With CAMELS and COV CATH advancing with wins tonight it makes for a rematch of two very solid teams. Camels beat Cov. Cath. in late April 11-10 at Cov. Cath.

However, that was then and this is now. Should make for a great Semi-Finals game as both are very good teams.

So, what are the match ups for the semi's on Friday?

CCH/Camp at CCH and BHS/Ryle at NCC?

Yes, I believe that is correct.

Winners would then meet at Dixie's field on Saturday at 4:00. Nothing personal, but shame there's not a nicer venue to play this game. Obviously, Dixie will have one of the premier NKY fields next year.

Why do BHS AND Ryle have to go all the way to Silver Grove (NCC'S HOME )to play ?

Not a bad question. Apparently they set up the semi-finals and finals host location in advance this year and these were the places that were selected/volunteered. I'd love to see them try to get the finals for the JV tourney set up at Champion Window in future years. I would guess that they could draw as much as some of the varsity games have drawn this year (not Boone Cty. v. Ryle obviously, but a few of the others).

Totally agree. Playing at a place like that would really make for a great atmosphere and experience for all involved.

Last year the Semi-Finals game between Campbell Co. & Beechwood, was played at NKU.

I wonder if anyone knows whether Dixie volunteered to host the JV finals this year under the assumption that their new field was going to be ready? I understand that these choices were made sometime last Fall. Seems like NKU would be a perfect place to play this game or if not there, maybe St. Henry. Maybe in the future . . .

I don't know about last year but two years ago the J.V finals were also played at Turkeyfoot, where Cov. Cath beat Scott 2-1 in 10 innings.

I'll take:

Dixie

Brossart

Scott over Holmes

HC over Scott

CCH

Dixie over Bellevue

CCHS

St. Henry over Brossart

Beechwood

Conner

Ryle

I'm doing pretty good... Give me BHS in the final, defending the title.

Next level;

In two years (varsity, watch out for Dixie and BHS (of course CCH will be be in there) for the NKY champs. Good luck to all!!

Last 3 JV Championship Matchups:

2004- Ryle over Campbell County

2005- Cov. Cath over Scott

2006- Beechwood over Ryle

2007- ?

All four participants have been here in the last three years. Good luck to all four teams today.

Yes, good luck to all four teams.

It is my hope that all fours teams go with the players that got them there in the first place. I personally don't believe in bringing down Juniors who haven't played an inning of JV all year long to play in the tournament. With that scenario you never know who the best team is at the JV level. Players should have to play a certain number of innings or games to be eligible to play in the tournament.

I can assure you that Ryle will go with only the sophomores and 3 freshman that are on their team (actually, a couple more freshman were moved up for the tourney, but they won't play). They have not brought anyone down.

And I certainly agree with your sentiments.

Yes, good luck to all four teams.

Totally agree.....

Certain CAMELS will be playing with the team they have had all year long. One exception....a Freshman now playing with them that they brought a couple of weeks ago.

Look for both of semi-final games to be good ones….. and the Championship game for that matter.

Beechwood in a repeat of last year...
