May 1, 200719 yr Phoenix got an entire new roster as well. They had nowhere to go but up... He clearly has been better the last three years. They were one game from the finals w/o their only serious inside presence. They essentially made the conference finals playing 5 guards a lot. I dissagree w/ you that they won't win a title. I think they do this year or next year. I'll admit he's a defensive liability, but he more than makes up for that offensively.

Slowing it down and playing great D started winning more championships lately. It goes in cycles. Wade had a great run and they had Shaq last year. Jordan and company could score. In the 80's the showtime Lakers and the Celtics could score. I think the faster paced game comes back and that style can win 3 or 4 of the next 10 titles. I could be way off, but more teams are going to that so we'll see.

May 1, 200719 yr Then what are you trying to argue? That he is the best fit for that team and if they win one or multiple titles he moves into top 5 all time at his position. I think Kidd would struggle to put up the same numbers for this team this year. There's no other player I would think could clome as close as Kidd. People slight what he does b/c he has good finishers. He also makes it a lot easier for them to finish.

May 1, 200719 yr Think about the last 10 Champs and what kind of style they played? The NBA changed when Riley and Van Gundy and some others decided to just beat each other up defensively and try to win the game 80-79. I said it goes in cycles. I think the Suns win one in the next 2 years.
