April 23, 200719 yr Author The Knicks list him as having played one game. Need to fix your link...I don't need to go to Pulaski, Tennessee. Ah you fixed it. Notice the stat is listed under preseason games played. He was waived in the middle to late October, before the season started.
April 23, 200719 yr Let's see, Billy G has been a head coach for 5 years, 2 at UTEP and 3 in College Station. Therefore it will be another year to see if any of the kids he recruited make it to the league from A&M. If Acie Law doesn't count, then Gaines doesn't count for Pitino, because he was a Crum recruit. With that, Pitino has coached one homegrown NBA player. At Louisville. And since Gaines doesn't count, it's crazy to count all 6 years since most of it was working with mostly Crum holdovers. In two drafts with his own recruits being seniors, Pitino has placed one guy in the first round.
April 23, 200719 yr Author We'll move on and get back to the topic at hand, and agree to disagree. He does have a connection to Romero Osby out of Mississippi, in his AAU coach Mark Komora.
April 23, 200719 yr Didn't UK get a verbal already for 2008??? Or was that just 07 Billy G got one for 09. The 08 verbal reopened when Tubby left..
April 23, 200719 yr Miller Monroe Warren Now that would be an ideal class to go along with Patterson, Sanchez, and Lucas. That is also exreme wishful thinking.
April 23, 200719 yr Glad too see Clyde getting things back on the recruiting track.Tubby was in on plenty of top shelf guys, just couldn't close. I think Billy is going to raise Kentucky's recruiting profile, but he doesn't get props just yet.
April 23, 200719 yr I think Miller looks promising for the Cats, but, not a lock by any means... I could see the 07 class adding Legion and Sanchez and then the 08 class with Miller, Warren and a big man, possibly Morgan or Aminu...These guys would fill alot of needs...Would definately be a Top 10-15 class for 08....
April 23, 200719 yr Tubby was in on plenty of top shelf guys, just couldn't close. I think Billy is going to raise Kentucky's recruiting profile, but he doesn't get props just yet. Tubby was on a few top shelf guys but certainly not as many as he should have been. He often times put so many eggs in so few baskets that when the bottom fell out we had to settle for second tier players. Gillespies ability to get on and stay on numerous high profile recruits makes things a lot better here in Wildcat Country.
April 23, 200719 yr Author I've been hearing that name a lot lately... Komora is bad news... Want proof, read the book "Sole Influence" by Dan Wetzel.
April 23, 200719 yr Author Add J'Covan Brown from Port Arthur, Texas. Top 30 guard. UK will be checking out Beas Hamga tomorrow at his high school.
April 24, 200719 yr Komora is bad news... Want proof, read the book "Sole Influence" by Dan Wetzel. Remember that Komora was Tyler Smith's AAU coach, and you know he's going to be a factor in Smith's new school. Plus the SE Elite team is LOADED this year...
