April 23, 200719 yr Obviously some kids are listing UK, but some may not be getting the full attention from BCG. Here is what I have compiled. Darius Miller, KY; wing; offered. He is BCG's #1 priority and spent a lot of time trailing him this weekend. I think UK, Tennessee, and Florida are the top 3 at this point. Just my opinion. Willie Warren, TX, 2g; offered. I would say he is priority #2 on BCG's watch list. Brandon Jennings, PG; Oak Hill Academy, offered? Al-Farouq Aminu, GA; PF; offered? Greg Monroe, LA; PF; offered? UK and UL have him listed very high priority wise, and Monroe says he likes the way Pitino has developed NBA talent. Not to take a shot, but 6 years and one NBA player at UL makes me wonder about that comment. Romero Osby, MS; wing; offered? Beas Hamga, IL, C; Ill Kevin Jones, NY, PF; offered? J'mison Morgan, TX, C, offered? Brandon Moore, AR, PF, offered? Bottom line it is finally nice to see us on kids list that are practically all top 75 talent.

Yes sir... it's time the talent comes back to Lextown
April 23, 200719 yr Author Drew Gordon is another.... I would have listed him, but UK has low interest in him. They would be in better shape if Tubby was still at the helm.
April 23, 200719 yr Author 10 players and 2-3 schollys? Could get sticky.. A couple of high priority guys at this point with some fallback options. Plus the 07 class has not been finalized which could alter who they go after.
April 23, 200719 yr Give me Al-Farouq Aminu and I dont care who else they get. This guy is a warrior on the glass an can prolly single handedly outrebount the other team. He can score on the blocks very well also. He really brings it. Likely my favorite player of the entire class.
April 23, 200719 yr Greg Monroe, LA; PF; offered? UK and UL have him listed very high priority wise, and Monroe says he likes the way Pitino has developed NBA talent. Not to take a shot, but 6 years and one NBA player at UL makes me wonder about that comment. Pitino has had 2 first round picks. Gaines and Garcia. I seem to remember Otis George playing at least one game for the Knicks. For Pitino's time at Louisville, this will only be the third draft for players he recruited coming out as seniors. His track record is solid.
April 23, 200719 yr Author His track record is solid, but with only Gaines and Garcia at the Ville, that is not too hot.
April 23, 200719 yr His track record is solid, but with only Gaines and Garcia at the Ville, that is not too hot.So, like I said, 2 first round picks (plus Otis George played in the league, that's an NBA career even if it's shorter than Danny DeVito) and he's had his own guys go four years... twice. I also think it's safe to say in the next two drafts, Pitino will be placing more than his fair share. Not to mention, several of Pitino's best recruits went straight to the league. Telfair, Amir Johnson and Donta Smith, Pitino lost as much to guys making the jump as anyone. If the current rule had been in place for his entire stay, Pitino would have a few more NBA players to claim.
April 23, 200719 yr And how many guys has Billy seen through from high school recruit to the league? None. Even when Acie Law IV goes this year, he was already on campus when Billy Clyde showed up in College Station.

Otis George never played in a regular season NBA game...he was cut before the season started. There have been quite a few coaches that have lost players to the NBA before they ever set foot on campus. Im sure Pitino will have some future players in the NBA from the present team.

The Knicks list him as having played one game. But that's a preseason game, you're right.
April 23, 200719 yr Author And how many guys has Billy seen through from high school recruit to the league? None. Even when Acie Law IV goes this year, he was already on campus when Billy Clyde showed up in College Station. Let's see, Billy G has been a head coach for 5 years, 2 at UTEP and 3 in College Station. Therefore it will be another year to see if any of the kids he recruited make it to the league from A&M. If Acie Law doesn't count, then Gaines doesn't count for Pitino, because he was a Crum recruit. With that, Pitino has coached one homegrown NBA player.
