April 20, 200719 yr Oden, Conley Jr., Cook headed to draft http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/10138052 Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr. and Daequan Cook are making themselves available for the NBA Draft, a source has told CBS SportsLine.com. A formal announcement is expected Friday when the players will explain their decisions that should deplete the Ohio State roster and end the college careers of the three most-heralded prospects from Thad Matta's five-man recruiting class that led the Buckeyes to the NCAA Tournament title game. According to the source, Oden will immediately hire an agent, meaning he's gone for good. But Conley and Cook plan to maintain their amateur status for the time being, though the source added both intend to remain in the NBA Draft regardless of the information they gather by the June 18 deadline to withdraw. Eventually, the source said, the trio will almost certainly be represented by Mike Conley Sr., who coached all three on the AAU circuit during their teenage years. The former Olympian recently became registered as an NBA agent in anticipation of this development.
