Col. Fitzgerald Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 If there was a top 25 for all the class a teams... who would be in yours?
westsider Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Lexington Christian and Owensboro Catholic are the cream of the crop ... Danville and Beechwood probably in the next tier. Paintsville is getting some attention. St. Mary and Heath would be on the list, as would Bishop Brossart. That's just a few that warrant mention ...
SirMixAlot Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Lexington Christian and Owensboro Catholic are the cream of the crop ... Danville and Beechwood probably in the next tier. Paintsville is getting some attention. St. Mary and Heath would be on the list, as would Bishop Brossart. That's just a few that warrant mention ... Beechwood is not the same Beechwood of years past, they have only 1 returning starter from last years team, Brossart has as good of shot of anyone to win the all a. Holy Cross would be on the list somewhere as would St. Henry.
westsider Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Beechwood is not the same Beechwood of years past, they have only 1 returning starter from last years team, Brossart has as good of shot of anyone to win the all a. Holy Cross would be on the list somewhere as would St. Henry.I thought Beechwood had more returning than that. It seemes like they had some underclassmen that contributed last year. Thanks for the info ... so we'll drop them down into the rest of the top 25.
Col. Fitzgerald Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 So who would everyone put in the best of the rest? Say number 15 through 25.
STRIKE3 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 In no particular order....just names to suggest and including previously mentioned. Bath County Beth Haven Bishop Brossart Crittenden County Cumberland County Harlan Hazard Madisonville-North Hopkins Raceland Russellville Somerset Williamsburg
gchs_uk9 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Madisonville-North Hopkins Might want to check their enrollment!
STRIKE3 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Might want to check their enrollment!....:thumb: You're correct, not an "A" school. I copied their name, from Poll and didn't edit. Thanks very much.
3ptshooter Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Don't let Beechwood's lone one starter fool anyone. They are still dangerous in Class A as they did return two of their top 3 pitchers. They have 4 good pitchers and if they ever remember how to hit will be dangerous come the end of the yr. If you look at the All A draw, they have a good chance to possibly defend their title as most of the teams mentioned above are in the bottom bracket w/the exception of Paintsville. I think Lex Christian will be hard for BHS to beat in the opening regional round! However, if Elliott or Bankemper are available, they could beat anyone w/some hitting!
Hilltopper2005 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Don't let Beechwood's lone one starter fool anyone. They are still dangerous in Class A as they did return two of their top 3 pitchers. Moore was a top 3 pitcher last year wasn't he?
GoldenEagleFan Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I think Paintsville would have to be close to the top.
westsider Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Crittenden CountyMaybe in a year or two, but not right now.
STRIKE3 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Maybe in a year or two, but not right now.Remember, we're talking All "A" and they are 8-4, with only a 4-3 loss to only one, "A" school and that is Webster County.
westsider Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Remember, we're talking All "A" and they are 8-4, with only a 4-3 loss to only one, "A" school and that is Webster County.I know exactly what we're talking about. Their schedule is incredibly weak ... two of their wins came over tiny Illinois schools and none of their other wins are against teams with winning records. Crittenden has some young talent, but they're not there yet.
KY Thorobred Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I might add Sayre and Carroll County to the top 25.
