I hadn't heard that one used for Billy G yet, although I rarely use nicknames for him myself. Theres way too many out there right now to keep up with, so I'm just waiting for us to reach a common ground for one. :lol:
April 17, 200719 yr I call him tons of different names... I've started calling him BCG more when typing lately because it's shorter and I'm lazy. :lol: I usually just say "Gillispie" when I'm talking about him.
April 17, 200719 yr On the other hand at the end of the day it's a big decision for a kid to decide where they are going to be playing at for the next 4 years ( I think Patterson has atleast 2 years of college ahead of him) so I cant knock the guy for taking his time and making the best decision he can for his future. I agree 100%. It's not our choice, he doesn't have to pick just to satisfy any fan(s) There is a reason the NCAA has these late signing periods, so he can wait up until the last one, or not sign an NLI at all. Most were criticizing him for waiting, but looking back Patterson was the smart one with all of the coaching changes. Heck, some of you all are criticizing some of the kids that possibly are thinking of trying to get out of their NLI after they have seen these coaching changes. The since Florida was high on his list, I am sure with those four players going pro may have had an impact on how the Florida program may look the next two years or so. I think Patterson is just weighing all of his options now, and wants to make sure he makes the right choice, for HIMSELF, not anyone else. He still has time, he doesn't need to rush. God forbid he makes up his mind to please other people then decides he wants to transfer, then he has people on his case saying he is wrong to transfer. He only met with Gillispie yesterday, it's going to take time, and if he is thinking about WVA then I am sure he will want to meet Huggins as well. He was very impressed with Gillispie, but like anything else in life, you shouldn't just jump into a deal on the sales pitch, you should sit back and let a little time pass, and not go on your impulse at the time.
April 17, 200719 yr BCg took it to another level. BCG broke out diagrammed plays for him, side outs, O/B under, half court sets, how they would like to use him in transition, how they would like to get him out on the perimeter some to develop his game for the next level. Had a workout regimine for him, displayed how his class schedule would be...and how they would like to get him so many touches and shots. That's our Billy! :thumb: As some have said before, he is too perfect. I wish I could be in a room when he goes on one of his in-home visits.
April 17, 200719 yr Really? He was in awe of Cameron...reportedly did the "chomp" at UF...probably burned a couch in WVU :lol: . . . Maybe his mom is looking at horse farms right now I think it is a requirement for every potential student to burn a couch on their visit to WVU...:laugh:
