Humphrey is a spot up shooter, Bradshaw is a forward trapped in a guard's body.

Humphrey - 10.3 points (305 shots taken), 1.3 boards, 1.3 assists, .5 steals

I suspect that many college coaches would disagree, and have shown as much with their interest, or lack thereof ... both Bradshaw and Humphrey were much more heavily recruited than Walls.

I've seen Walls play, and while he's a nice player, I don't think he's the player that you think he is. Get over it ...

As for Walls, he was offered a scholarship by Miss St from what I heard, but they filled the spot. They may come back calling now that the Delk twins left.

Also I heard he turned down a scholarship offer to UMass because of distance from home.

 

And as for you putting players down, I call them like I see em and your negative posts seem to outweigh your positive ones.

No one was really ranking Lofton as high as he was out of high school (not saying Walls is as good as Lofton). Secondly, you have watched Walls what at the Sweet 16? And you say he cannot play at a big D-1 school and couldnt be a Lee Humphrey-type player. You can say what you want about the player's ability that seperate him from guys in the past like Stockton and Carrier. He is a winner! And I have seen him will his team to several wins this season. And I have seen him do it against very good competition (Huntington, Madison Central, Bryan Station, LexCath, Tates Creek, Holmes, etc).

Walls may turn out to be a very good college player - let's just wait and see. It may be the best thing for his personal career playing at Marshall. They have young coaches who are going to bring a lot of excitement to the program. At Marshall he probably has an opportunity to play relatively early. However, it was always my dream to play at the University of Kentucky and if I ever had that opportunity, I would have taken it in a heartbeat.

 

Let the kid decide and then let's all enjoy watching him play & develop, both on & off the court.

I saw him twice last year, too. Besides, you're touting his Sweet 16 performance as putting him over the hump for Mr. Basketball. I saw a nice mid-major Division I player, and there isn't a darn thing wrong with that.

I never said he doesn't deserve it. I only said that he will probably get the benefit of the doubt because he and his game are fairly well-known to the Kentucky-Indiana powers that be. Some players in other parts of the state that will be at the tryout don't enjoy the same advantage.

 

Again, read what I write and quit looking for some hidden meaning. You know my reputation around here ... I say exactly what I think and don't sugarcoat anything. Why would I change course now?

How many times have you seen him play? I have saw Walls light it up a few games this year. I have been very impressed by him. I believe he is similar to Bradshaw because he will do anything to win and potentially could do well in a role like Humphrey had with Florida.

 

 

I have seen him play enought to have an opinion to think he can't play at the elite schools. He will have a nice career in college at the Div. 1 level but I don't think it is at the UK level.

You can't compare SEC stats to HS stats. They are totally different
