April 5, 200719 yr Apparently, WKYT Sports Reporter Rob Bromley said that either the UKAA or the D'antoni party have initiated talk saying that D'antoni is interested. Consequently, his brother who is his top assistant coach, said if Mike takes the UK job, he will be Phoenix's interim coach. Can anyone confirm this?
April 5, 200719 yr I hope not. You know, it might not be the best hire, but I would almost like to see him at UK and see what he does and the product he would put on the floor. Colored me intrigued.
April 5, 200719 yr It wouldn't be the worse thing to happen to UK. An NBA linked coach who has "contacts" and a lot of recruits like that. He runs a fast paced offense and that's what UK fans want, so why not?
April 6, 200719 yr I'm game. We're going to be small next year, so let's get back to the frenetic pace and see what happens!!!
April 6, 200719 yr Can you imagine Meeks under his system? Wow. Can you imagine Bradley under his system. IT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE.
April 6, 200719 yr Can you imagine Bradley under his system. IT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE. Ouch. You are probably right about that one. Maybe Porter could fill at the point some.
April 6, 200719 yr This would be a great hire for UK. For all the kids that want to go into the NBA, UK would want to be where they would go. With a coach with his record and his "contacts" UK would be right back where it should be IMO.
