May 8, 200719 yr It is a risky move by the Reds, but I believe in no risk, no reward. You gotta figure he is on the brink of being in Cincy regardless. Any pitcher in Louisville should know on any given night they may have a bus ticket waiting for Cincy if they are doing well. I was speaking more of Milton going to the pen....No way IMO do you bring up Bailey unless it's in a starting role.

May 8, 200719 yr I figure they let Sarloos start a couple games before Bailey is brought up, you would think SOMETHING has to be done since Milton is just a waste of time. Yes, I know that he might not be much better, but I figure they give him a shot first and see how he does.

It seems he does fine when the Reds are losing, but put him in when they have the lead or are tied and it's a given that he gives up runs. He falls in love with the hard stuff and it just doesn't work....

Bailey is still throwing close to 100 pitches in 5 and 6 innings at AAA. He needs to stay in Louisville. Period. End of story...
May 8, 200719 yr Just like the drink, only not spelled the same. There I feel better for saying that. lol Coffey has had 19 appearances this year. He has given up at least 1 run in six of those. My math is bad, but that comes out to 31 percent of the time. So every 3 outings he is going to give up at least one run. lol So I guess the good news is, his next few outings should be spotless! : )
