The way I see it....These guys would have at least listened to UK.....The fact that they are signing new contracts and possibly with Arkansas, makes me think one of two things: 1) Mitch Barnhart is a moron, and is convinced Tom Crean or Jay Wright will be an upgrade from Tubby, forgive me while I laugh.:laugh: 2) Billy D. is a much bigger possibility than most think. I'm praying for #2, but I have a bad feeling #1 is the way it plays out.

I don't think he was a realistic candidate for the UK job, I just don't think that "He just signed an extension" means much at all.
March 27, 200719 yr Calipari signed an extension "IN PRINCIPLE". That's not saying much to me. I think he's very interested and getting an extension with a few more $$s in it, sure doesn't hurt your negotiating power...If UK offers, which I'm not sure they will, he'll seriously consider it, I'm sure...

Contract extensions do not mean "Im not considering another job." Not even close if you ask me. More like a backup plan if you dont get the other job.
