Congrats to Clark Co on a wonderful year. A lot of positive things that may get lost with this final score. BUT they had a very nice year including that regional championship. They just ran into a buzzsaw in Ballard.

 

Nothing against Warren Central or Holmes, but I really would love to see a Ballard/Scott Co finale.

This was unexpected; I figured Ballard would win but nothing like this.

 

Congratulations to Clark County on a very successful year; don't let one bad game define your season. Congrats especially to the seniors for Clark County; and while a lot of talent is graduating this year, I know the cupboard isn't bare in Winchester by any stretch.

Sad that its over, but in the end there is plenty to be proud of. Good job seniors with your leadership all year long and good luck on with were ever you end up next year.

It seems that Clark County was a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde team at times this season.

 

Scott (not Scott County) had them beaten and on the bus, before GRC miraculously pulled out the win on two free throws by the eighth grader and dodged a Nathan Sharp gamewinner, while Jones and Knowles were fouled out in the 10th Region Semi-finals.

 

They then played brilliantly against Mason County, upsetting them in the finals - go figure!!!

 

Sixteen thousand turned out tonight to see the non-game take place. Credit Ballard and congratulations to Coach Humphries and the Cardinals on a memorable season.

What a ride you gave all of us fans this season,GRC Cards. So proud of the season you have had.Wins over Holmes , DeSales, South Laurel, Christian Co, Mason Co and our first trip to Rupp in 17 years. I have enjoyed every minute of it...win or lose. You all have a very special place in my heart, as I think you already know. The thrills and chills you have given all your fans are memories we will Cherish for a life time. So glad I could come along for the ride.

I think everyone that isn't a Scott County fan will be pulling for Ballard.

I feel that Clark Co had a great year . I give Ballard credit , they have a very good press defense. they have good size , they all seem to have a very fast first move and finish well , they jump well, and know how to run the court . We didn't do well against their press. But we were there and that was a great feeling. Congratulations to Coach Humphries and the team :banana:
