Someone with dollar signs in their eyes and a hide as thick as a rhinoceros. Basically, the Nick Saban of college basketball. My one hope is that this coaching search doesn't turn into the debacle that was the Alabama head coaching search.

That's because the national media doesn't understand the love and passion the state of Kentucky has for this basketball program. It's easy to knock the KY fans when it is coming from outsiders that are most likely glad the program is in the state it is.

The majority of the people who put on that wildcat blue think they know the game better than anyone else, and insist on giving their foolish opinion...

I am sure all the recruits and coaching candidates are understanding that view instead of UK fans are looking like a bunch of spoiled brats that are running off one of the top coaches in the nations based upon his success over the last 10 years.

 

One stat I saw said among coaches at one school over the past 10 years, only Coach K and Jim Calhoun have more wins. And where was UCONN in postseason play this season?

If say Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, and maybe Florida football teams didn't get to a BCS bowl game for 9 years would their coaches still have a job? Same thing at Kentucky...you don't go to the final four you should'nt have a job.

What is there 5 bcs bowl games? That is 10 teams. Tubby went to 3 Elite 8's in the past 9 years. Guess the analogy you used doesn't fit.

Tubby was a nice guy & is a good coach BUT the program has struggled lately. As far as this KY fan stuff goes. Apparently there has been a problem b/c of the direction of the program. People should stand up for what they think is right. I for one, think that KY needs to start fresh. The same as when Eddie Sutton was @ UK, the same as when NC had to hire Roy Williams, when UL had to hire Pitino, when Alabama had to hire Nick Saban, when the Cowboys had to hire Parcells. When any program is not living up to its reputation, it is time to stir the pot. Nothing against Tubby personally but the proof is in the pudding (6 losses to florida, 4 to vandy, 2 8 seeds & 2nd round losses, etc). If Tubby's teams did not "overachieve" then they have struggled. that is what has happened the last 2 years.

So, you were satisfied w/ the program this year? Tubby was not getting paid to be a nice guy!! You dont get paid $2 Million per year to get beat in the 2nd round & to know there is no possibly of making the Sweet 16 much less the Final Four.

 

No one better than Tubby?? He coached @ Tulsa & Georgia before KY & hasnt won a national championship since 1998 (w/ someone elses recruits). The program will be alright!!!

And the EXACT reason why I feel several NCAA coaches will pass on what some UK Fans think is the best coaching job in the nation. Actually, it is one of the worse as far as being able to coach basketball.
