March 19, 200719 yr Yep, I counted it up after the post but either way he's done a less than stellar job over the last 9 years. UK wins the games they are suppose to win & loses those they are suppose to (lately anyone that is in the top 25, beats us) UK just needs a change of scenary. The program is stagnant. What would be your idea of a stellar job?

Less than stellar = losing to vandy 4 times, florida 6 times, 8 seeds in the NCAA tourny, playing in the 1st round of the SEC tourny twice, losing in the 2nd round of the NCAA tourny twice, players like thomas, woo, carter, porter, harris, etc Stellar NOW would be = split w/ vandy, beat florida 2 of 6 times, 6 seed in the tourny, 2 seed in the SEC, making it to the sweet 16, recruit players that play consistent minutes instead of 15 mins this game & none for 2 games
March 19, 200719 yr Calapari would land us back on probation in no time.... Donavon's career track record says he wouldn't be any better than Tubby, and he wouldn't come anyways. Ask yourself why Donavon would not come, Because he would be leaving a better program than what he would be coming to. He would be stupid to come now. Would have liked to had him 10 yrs.ago. When he was not good enough.
March 19, 200719 yr The majority that want Tubby Smith fired are the same ones who never accepted him from the begining. His biggest problem is he is not Rick Pitino and a great number of so called fans cannot get over it. So now they want a cheap Pitino clone. Calipari or Donavan. Neither one would have been able to survive under the pressure of the UK job.
March 19, 200719 yr I agree with Hangman. The worst damage being done to the UK basketball program right now is being done by a spoiled and unrealistic fanbase and a sensationalist media that is eager to fan the flames for the sake of a story.
