Louisville vs Stanford Updates

Featured Replies

They're a 6 seed....They are not scary good, they're playing extremely well right now, nothing more, nothing less.

When Louisville plays like they are now, there isn't a team in America they can't beat...

About the game, Pitino couldn't have asked for a better first half. Up tempo, SUFFOCATING defense has led to many Stanford turnovers and Louisville points...Stanford has no answer right now...That may have been the best half of basketball played in Rupp all year....:sssh:

BTW, Robin Lopez is terrible...

I think this game is giving a false sense of how good UL is. No doubt they are playing good but I think a good part of it is how bad Standford really is.

Where's the Haterade being served?

Its not their home gym, but they are playing really well. Expected with the best coach in the world.

Hogwash.

And Syracuse had to go on something like a 20-1 run on their home floor last night to get past Pelphrey's South Alabama squad. There are a whole bunch of teams that can make a case to get the last couple of at-large berths, but right now Stanford sure isn't playing like one of them.

Personally, I'd have rather seen Stanford, Arkansas and Illinois out and some mid-majors taking their place. If they're going to be replaced by teams like Syracuse and other "major-mids", then it doesn't matter to me. I want to see some teams that are going to play their hearts out because they have the chance to play in the Big Dance...not teams who are used to being in as higher seeds and are probably disappointed with a 12 seed.

You can't tell me Standford isn't terrible.

I think Stanford as a whole is just flat out terrible.

They beat a UCLA team that beat the Cats....Is UK terrible??

Stanford proving that they didn't deserve to be in the tourny.

Teams thats have no real chance of winning it?

O you wanna play that game. Ok UK beat UL soooooooooo.

Stanford looks like a team that has no business being in the tournament. How Stanford made it in over Syracuse is beyond me...

I believe they beat 6 teams that are in the tournament. That could be one reason why they made it. They're not looking to good right now though.

That's a weak arguement, that holds no water.

You're better than resorting to that Deuce....

This is a great start for the Cards in the tourney.

Your point?

None of those teams have a real chance...Stanford, Syracuse, Arkansas, Florida State, NC State, Illinois, Air Force, etc...I'd just rather see teams that aren't tournament regulars get the low seeds because they're more interesting.

You can say Stanford is terrible all you want...Are they a great basketball team? Far from it...But they are a very decent ball club. They also beat Oregon and Washington State...Stanford is having a bad game, and people aren't giving UL enough credit for that, when they deserve it...
