They really do not have a good big man. The tallest player on the team is one of the 8th graders and he plays point gaurd on the freshman team so he likes to play around the perimeter. He is timmy knipp and is 6'5".

The good news is, we will finally see quite of few of these players in weaker regions play above average competition. To say Proffitt did not impress you against an above average squad is a tough call since many teams in the event have yet to play a T0P 10 or even TOP 20 team.

How is Maynard doing??? I haven't seen him play since he was at Scott County

For those of you who have not seen Knowles play (GRC), he is a real treat. He is gaining a lot of interest late from some pretty solid D-1 schools. Can anybody tell me why he may be the best kept secret in the state? Did he not participate in traveling summer AAU teams? I hope he performs well at state.

I agree, I think he is very impressive but it always seem that he gets left out of post like these. However I have seen his name pop up a few times in this particular thread, hopefully I will see more and more of this as the Cards make their run through state.

He played on the Eddie Ford team last summer. He was up and down - a lot like this season.

 

When he's focused and ready I don't know that there is a better player in the state than Preston. He's not really a secret - but he doesn't get near the publicity Miller from Mason Co. has gotten.

 

IMO - his stock could really rise at the Sweet Sixteen.
