March 9, 200719 yr I can honestly say that I may coach different than alot of people, Ok, Here is the play, Some may seen this today and are just now picking themselves up off the floor, 5.1 seconds left in the game, Team travels all the way down the court. and you have a 3 point lead, Why in gods green earth would you let them shoot a 3 instead of fouling them and put them at the line to get 2 points and what are the odds of them getting the rebound. I just cant hardly understand how you make millions of dollars and cant make better decision than this...
March 9, 200719 yr You can't lose on a 3, and I wouldn't want to stop the clock and let them score. A make and a put back is just like a 3, Also, 2 makes and a steal/5 second call/turnover/offensive foul is the opportunity to lose.

March 10, 200719 yr How many times have you seen a team hit a 3 pointer to tie? Over a hundred? OK, how many times have you seen a team hit a FT, miss on purpose, get the rebound, and score to tie? Maybe a handful, if that. It is a no brainer to foul every time in that situation.

March 10, 200719 yr These are my thoughts on today's game. I'll take my chances on him hitting the first free throw and intentionally missing the 2nd and managing to get a shot off rather than my chances on him running straight down the court and shooting basically an open 3-pointer.

You allow them to shoot a three, they convert, you made a bad choice, either way you lose as a coach. Either way, it never should have occured in the first place, the decisions made before this put them in this scenario.
March 10, 200719 yr The thing about today is there is no way Bobby Perry could keep Gordon from getting off a good shot without fouling him. I thought Perry definitly should have put him on the line. But hindsight is 20/20.

You honestly think the recruiting is OK, Give me a break I use to watch Ky and take time off from what I was doing everygame.
