March 4, 200719 yr Keep watching. The officials obviously saw the same thing I did. At first glance? You're right, I thought so as well. Thankfully we have video replay.
March 4, 200719 yr Blinders:sssh: I have never, ever been that type of fan. Gerald Henderson is a young man with good character and it ticks me off that people who have disdain for Duke or myself, will question a young man's character to get a rise out of me, or other legitimate college basketball fans on this site.
March 4, 200719 yr Author Im no Duke fan by far but as of Now I want Duke to win as long as UK wins! & you are a die hard UK fan ???
March 4, 200719 yr Saw Duke for the first time this year and they seem to suffer from the same thing that KY suffers from. A lack of team speed. UNC and Florida could blow past them and get to the rim for the layup or dish for easy dunk while UK nor Duke could do that. I agree. I watched some of this game and was surprised to see the difference in team speed between UNC and Duke. UNC seemed to blow by the Dookies anytime they wanted to.
March 4, 200719 yr ^ It stinks to see the lack of pure athleticism this Duke team has...Henderson, Thomas, and Nelson are the only ones that could be considered explosive, and none of them are close to consistent.

Good Character has nothing to do with this. It was a cheap shot IMO People make mistakes sometimes and this was one of his.
March 5, 200719 yr Was it intentional? No. Was it flagrant? Yes. Hansbrough appeared to have lost the ball, which cleared past Henderson's head when he made contact. Most people block a shot with their hand or palm coming down, not their forearm. Did he intend to punch him? No. Was it flagrant? Yes. Was he ejected for a flagrant foul? Yes.

March 5, 200719 yr Looked very intentional to me. If he is not going for a block, which it does not look like he is, then he is just going for the players face. Not a lot of remorse on his face afterwards either. Players having a hard time at Duke with the season they are having and when they don't get all the breaks, like clocks not being run correctly or getting every call, I guess they eventually resort to thug tactics. Just my opinion, not expecting to sway anyone else's.
March 5, 200719 yr It wasn't a cheap shot nor was it on purpose. Henderson went into the fight for the rebound way out of control, TH lost the ball and Henderson came in and tried to knock it out. Just an unlucky thing to happen.

Was there excessive force on the foul? I can agree with that. But you can tell he wasn't watching where his arm was going.

It is clearly obvious that you didn't watch the replays...Henderson played his heart out today, and was playing hard until he got ejected. I would be willing to bet that he has already apologized for the foul.
March 5, 200719 yr Yeah, that is what I said. It reminded me of how Georgetown played in the mid-80's.
