Upsets...

Well, not upsets with respect to state contenders, because neither of them really were, but both Central Hardin and E-Town got knocked off tonight, and they were pretty much 1-2 for the 5th Region crown. I think those are the most major so far.

Nahhhhh, 11 point win, Silver Grove is just a very hard team to prepare for...

It was a closer game then the final score indicates. I believe someone said a two possesion game till the final minute.

12th Region Contender McCreary Central was knocked out tonight at Wayne County by Wayne County in OT.

Ummm … WC beat MC by 10 and 22 in their two previous meetings. Tonight's result in no way, shape or form resembles an upset. More like WC doing what they expected to do, based on previous results.

Stephon Pettigrew and E-town were knocked out tonight by North Hardin. I'd consider it an upset since E-town won the previous two meetings by a combined 30 points.

It's an upset. McCreary is substantially better than Wayne County. The Raiders were expected to make a strong push at the region title if they could get by Wayne County. McCreary Central was expected to win this game, like they were "expected" to win the other games.

Who won the John Hardin vs Central Hardin game???

If you say so.

So, you're admitting that MC is a major underachiever?

They underachieved this year, especially compared to last year. They returned every starter and everyone who play a sliver of a minute, but failed to return back the regions were they ended up losing to eventual region champion Boyle County. Bartley, the leading scorer then, has never been the same after his ACL surgery over the summer, and that might have had something to do with it. McCreary dominated every aspect of this game and never dropped the lead until overtime. They led by 12 enter the 4th and 10 with 5:00 to go. The coach then played a preventive offense and tried to hold the ball, and it cost the Raiders the game.

That's all fine and dandy, but you're still not doing a very good job of convincing me that it was an upset all three times that Wayne County beat McCreary Central this year, two times by double figures. I doubt anyone else on here is buying it either.

Reading all the prediction threads... they all thought McCreary would win. Read every thread about a Wayne/McCreary game this year... McCreary has been favored by 3/4s of the people.

Doesn't bother me that I can't persuade you...

Umm, I beg to differ, not everyone picked McCreary Central ... I picked Wayne and it wasn't an upset.

McCreary was favored 8 to 3 by BGPers... Les never has anything positive to say about this. McCreary lost this game.. Wayne didn't win it.

Like I said it wasn't an upset ... Wayne always gets the best of McCreary Central and nuttin never changes ... just the excuses on why Da Raiders lost.
