March 1, 200719 yr I don't think he's evil, just a politician, but then again..... I find him more of a bumbling politician at that, but I really do think he's doing this for personal and political gain. And I think he's sincere in his efforts. What if he didn't throw his hat in the presidential race? What would you think then?
March 1, 200719 yr Author And I think he's sincere in his efforts. What if he didn't throw his hat in the presidential race? What would you think then? That remains to be seen, but I'd still say personal gain. I have no problem with an awareness of the climate or efforts to make the air cleaner or with finding better cleaner ways for industry and our vehicles and so on. I just don't care for his scare tactics, I really find them appalling.

March 1, 200719 yr I too think he's sincere about the environment and has been so since before his 2000 presidential run. Are you messin' with me?
March 1, 200719 yr Are you messin' with me? :confused:No, because I still think that he would have screwed up 9/11. But take away 9/11 and I'd put Bush and Gore on equal footing. That should be an insult to both politicians.

March 1, 200719 yr No, because I still think that he would have screwed up 9/11. But take away 9/11 and I'd put Bush and Gore on equal footing. That should be an insult to both politicians. The thing is, I don't think 9/11 made Bush. (If you understand what I mean). I feel like it gave him a convenient excuse to do what he did in Iraq. If we were talking about Afghanistan, that would be a different animal. I'm not sure Gore would have taken us into Afghanistan, and for that I can agree Bush was the right man for the job. But, when talking about the scenarios that: 1) We haven't gotten Bin Laden 2) God KNOWS what the heck you can call the job we've done in Afghanistan 3)It's questionable why we're in Iraq So, at what point do you say, Gore definitely would have been worse than Bush after 9/11? Does one correct attempt negate three horrendous bumbles? I don't see how anyone can say Gore would have been so much worse? But...then...we could always ask, would 9/11 have happened if Gore were president?

There were plenty or Repblicans like that the past 6 years). He also likes big government and lots of regulation. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he a big UN fan?
