March 1, 200719 yr At the time Carter was being recruited though he was also getting looked at by Roy Williams and UNC (who also brought in Hansborough that year) and by Illinois. Thats pretty good company, so I'm sure Tubby felt the heat to not let Carter leave the state. And that is the point alot of try to make when it comes to getting Ky boys. There really isn't that much top division 1 talent in this state. Its just really hard to tell with the Ky kids on if one is going to be a Lofton, or the next Josh Carrier at the college level and more than not they end up like Carrier...
March 1, 200719 yr In the state? 3rd in most wins over the last 5 years behind Iliinois & Duke(I think). It just shows that college teams are playing more games now, which takes away from the 10 loss criticism. His winning percentage is extremely high.
