This pretty much sums up the season to date.:irked:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tubby Smith looked spent.

His energy expended prodding his University of Kentucky basketball team on the court -- and blistering it afterward -- in a 67-65 loss to No. 17 Vanderbilt at Memorial Gymnasium yesterday, Smith sat in his postgame news conference with a bottled water and a blank stare.

^ ....I do feel that they have not sold out for him....sometimes they are outmanned...but that doesn't mean that they can't win...or at least go down swinging...this team really doesn't respond well to adversity, this tirade likely won't help....the future is not bright right now.

The future will be ok. Maybe not as soon a we would like but lets face it. The 04' class has screwed UK up. Everyone wanted Tubby to bring in all the Burger boys and he did and look what happened. I for one can't wait for Crawford and Morris to go. I hope you do enter the draft and never play in the NBA Joe because you have no HEART.

So true Hammertime. All the UK fans wanted All-Americans and would bash Tubby every year he didn't load up on them, well he finally did and it has only hurt the program. Tubby plays better with players that he can develop to play his game, not the "Burger Boy" type the is mostly uncoachable.

When Tubby got Carruth everyone praised him for getting a McDonalds AA. After that fiasco he started recruiting high character kids (Hayes Daniels, Fitch, etc) and everyone moaned about not getting McDonalds AA's. Then comes Rondo, Morris and Crawford. These guys have been good at times but never great. NO HEART. Bradly plays with alot of heart but almost no brains. Everything that was old is new again. I think Tubby's biggest flaw may be listening to his detractors.

Cold Pizza had a brief story this morning on the UK program and the Tubby haters. This story is starting to spread like a wildfire outside of Lexington....

If this is the case then we can kiss PP and Lucas by.

I've seen a few shows and articles about these two (as they are a couple of the lone undecided McD players left) and they didn't UK as either kid's top choice. What are the odds of getting both?

When he won, he won with talent. His best teams had either Bogans or Prince on them.

I hate the "burger boy" arguement. Recruiting the best players in the country seems to work for other coaches. I have to think Durrant, or Oden, or Wright, or a vast amount of other high school all-americans could have helped. Maybe get the right all americans.

You named the ONLY 3 from the freshman class who I would consider difference makers...In reality, whats the chances of landing 1 of the top 3 players in a class when you are competing against other programs with as much if not more to offer...Theres alot of McD AAs out there not doing near so well and some not even playing much, so, what makes you think those kids would instantly turn UK around...Don't get me wrong, I'll take a BURGER BOY anytime, but, as has been proven with the 04 class and others across the country not to always be a cure all...
