Not a swipe at you HHSDad, but this is manure. Nearly every thing we use daily has some form of petroleum in it(plastics, solvents, food, medicine, asphalt, carbon and graphite products, textiles, rubber, elastomers, etc.). So probably no body can "claim" that all the energy they use is renewable.

I saw the film.

 

I found it to be pretty solid scienfically, although there was undoubted bias - simply because the film was designed to educate and combat global warming.

 

I do believe that global warming is real and is occurring and human beings are playing a role.

 

Al Gore seemed to genuinely believe in his cause but still failed to be inspiring.

I heard somewhere, recently, that in the 70's the same scientist in this field that is claiming a global warming was claiming a global freezing at that time. Is that accurate?

 

If so, did things change that drastically that quickly or were they wrong at one point? Either now or then?
