Oh yeah I forgot about all those regional titles that Harrison hasnt won, my bad! Like KY_THorobred, this isnt just about this year this is about overall and 10th has no chance at competeing with the 11th but the 10th region is overated as well.

Glad I could bore you with facts. But it doesnt say what time frame nor does is specify this year anywhere. Must have made that up during a period you doze off from my facts. I think that answers all your questions. And even though no game has been played, history does seem to repeat itslef in the 10th as well as the 12th. The only difference in the 12th is that they cant get past sectionals.

I think you've got a handful of really good teams in the 15th and I think the 15th will be pretty competetive outside of the region this year.

The 10th region traditionally has not been able to compete with Harrison. Now in my opinion it is due to a lack of quality teams top to bottom and Harrison being way out in front of everybody else. While a few teams year in and year out can be competitive..........the majority of teams in the 10th are not very strong and have very poor feeder programs.

 

The 9th is an enigma. With so many class A schools the talent pool is spread out. There are many good/great players in the 9th but the teams from top to bottom show a great disparity. The top teams can play with anybody in the state, the middle teams usually have at least one pitcher that can knock off a top team. However......there are too many bottom teams that (see all the Div. III conference except Beechwood) ( teams like Holmes, Lloyd, Newport recently, etc) that just don't have it. With all the baseball structure in Northern Ky. you would think these teams could field more competitive teams.

its going to be tough to find the best region..because some regions have 3 or 4 decent schools in them and others have a couple of all around great teams in them..its going to be tough to make a decision

Metro areas generally produce the most competitive regions simply because of numbers. Other smaller, less populated areas may produce strong individual programs but fewer region-wide. As far as regions, it would be tough to pick against the 11th and then add in the 6th and 7th. I feel the 9th is underappreciated and is usually very competitive but falters in state tournament play for the reasons NYRangers suggests. There will always be great teams from the mountains and the West just fewer of them.

Year end and year out I would have to say the 11th.

I just saw Beechwood's schedule for this upcoming season and you talk about tough... It seems like every non conference or non district game they have is against top teams in the region/state. These include (Paul Dunbar twice, Louisville Male, Appollo, Bishop Brossart, St. Henry, and a few tournaments that will have more good teams.) There state run last year must have drawn in some good teams. They are a very young team, we will see what they can do.

3rd - Owensboro Catholic, Apollo and Daviess County

5th - Elizabethtown, North Hardin, Central Hardin

6th - PRP, Butler, North Bullitt

7th - St. X, Trinity, Eastern (Louisville)

11th - Henry Clay, Christian, Catholic, Dunbar

 

In my opinion

 

11th is toughest overall

6th / 7th have the toughest top tier teams

3rd would be the deepest once you get past the top 3 Owensboro schools

5th has a lot of tradition

 

If I had to pick one of mine to be replaced by another region I would say the 5th.

You left out Ballard & Male from the 7th, toughest region in the state IMO.
