Anybody know where the Lincoln/Mercer game will be played? I look for this series to be a great one this time around.

anyone have any clue as to who will be the new starters on offense and defense this season?

Where is the Death Valley Bowl? I believe that this game is part of that? Any history of the event?

The Death Valley Bowl was started in 1998. This will be the 10th season.

Lincoln County is 3-6 in its own bowl game:

1998 L 13-33 Marion County

1999 W 41-14 Mercer County

2000 L 14-24 Rockcastle County

2001 L 28-40 Bourbon County

2002 W 21-0 Franklin County

2003 L 8-40 East Jessamine

2004 L 14-34 Harrison County

2005 W 19-15 Pulaski County

I like this schedule, I went to camp with several players from hopkinsville and their coach was their also. He's a tough hard nosed kind of guy who knows his stuff on defense, I am really looking forward to that match-up. The Lincoln-Mercer matchup is also really appealing, I think it will be the birth of a new central kentucky rivalry. The war of words has already been waged several times on here, in fact.

^ Let me add a few more war of words, Lincoln Co. will take Mercer Co down.:D;)

That is nice of a Boyle Co. fan to say. What about the Rebels vs. The Titans this year. What is your prediction on that.

This is a Lincoln Co. thread.:p

I think it is going ot be great for central Kentucky football to have Mercer and lincoln in the same district, couple that with an emerging rivalry with boyle co. and things get even more exciting. I think Mercer has a lot more returning than most people realize.

Yeah, I think trevor short at qb for Mercer is going to be a player. He will be a dual threat. And, I like the young backs that Mercer will put on the field this fall. Add that to an experienced offensive and defensive line they will give Lincoln a game for sure. I'm looking forward to it.

Give LC a game, Mercer will be a 3 touchdown favorite. LC will do good to keep it close.

Agreed. LC will be no match for the mighty Titans.

I think it will be a good rivalry that you can throw out the stats for. Lincoln is vastly improved and coach French will keep the program going in a positive direction. I said mercer would be better than expected however, on the other side they will have some big holes to fill. I believe they will struggle early and improve along the way right into the playoffs. Same can be said of the Patriots. How will the Titans handle long scoring drives? they got pretty used to scoring from anywhere on the field last season. Can they limit their inexperienced players from making critical errors? I think Lincoln vs. Mercer will be an annual close ballgame.IMO

I think the rest of the District is playing for Second Place to the Titans.

Hopefully, the Patriots can give them a good game.

I guess Spring Practice starts Monday. Anybody know what the routine will be?
