Gator Mascot?

Featured Replies

This is probably a stupid question since this is Kentucky we're talking about, but is there a school with a gator as their mascot? Obviously, they have them in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and the southern states, but is there a gator in Kentucky?

Frankfort High thinks they are Florida jr. but not sure if they are the Gators.

I believe Greenwood are Gators also.

Greenwood Gators baby!

Yeah, Greenwood is the Gators. Nothing like being reminded of Florida every freaking time they play that "Go Gators!" stuff. Bleh.

The only reason I remember Greenwood is because of the Fishback kid who played there and went on to star at Auburn. I believe that he was also a Mr. Basketball winner??? If I'm not mistaken didn't Jason Lathram play there as well??

^ Both correct. Lathram graduated in 1995, led Greenwood to their only regional title. Fishback was Mr. Basketball in 1996, and the leader of a Greenwood team that ranked #1 at times, but fell in the region semis.

Wow its nice to know that at my age I can still remember trivial things.
