Madison Central (8-1) hosts St. X (4-5) with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 pm.

Madison Central is hitting on all cylinders and is coming off a 42-18 win over Bryan Station.

St. X is coming off a 62-32 win over PRP.

Last year: St. X won 42-6.

Madison Central will be looking to exact revenge from last year's beating that the Tigers delivered. St. X will have to play much better defensively than they did against PRP to have a shot at winning as Madison Central's offense is playing very well. A rare losing season is on the line for St. X since a loss to Madison Central will pretty much ensure it since getting Trinity in the 2nd round, but will have to get through Ballard before looking ahead. Can St. X go on the road and upset the higher ranking #4 Madison Central or does Madison Central keep rolling into the playoffs?

I am rooting for the Tigers, but I honestly think Central wins by 3 scores. PRP scoring 32 on X (even considering the defensive scores) leads me to believe X's defense won't be able to stop the Tribe's rushing attack.

However, long bus rides usually are good for players to focus. Maybe Landis gives a great speech prior, and the Tigers sneak out with a win.

I like Central by 2-3 td’s.

Anyone think this could be a trap game for Madison Central?

Considering St. X spanked them last year they probably have the game circled and probably will be fired up.

After the Frederick Douglas scrimmage, which was pretty much even, People recognized X had a very good defense and the offense was struggling. The consensus was X was young and X would improve.

10 weeks later, X has a struggling defense and an offense that has shown it can only score on bad teams.

This game is the last chance to demonstrate if there has been any improvement or if X has gone backward.

I have no confidence Landis will do anything good. The kids are playing to avoid the first losing season in 75 years. I am hoping that motivates the kids to rise up.

How can you overlook X?
