February 17, 200719 yr Here is a good video of the last time UK and Alabama played last year which was in the SEC tournament... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3eKjA_4HJ8 The interesting thing about this, 4 players who had key parts to this win for UK are no longer playing for UK. Rondo,Sims, Sparks, and Perry...Yeah I know Perry is on this year teams, but the Perry who was playing great the last month and a half last year has still now shown up for this years team... I meant to say 5 players, because Shargari also had a good game that day...
February 17, 200719 yr By the was bama played UF in the first half, i think UK will have a ruff time with them. I hope they pull it out. Go Cats
February 17, 200719 yr Not to me. The only loss I didn't expect was Vandy at home and maybe Memphis. The others I think could/should have been expected. Regardless of what could've been, or should've been expected....UK has been very inconsistent....just as Duke has....that's a part of being young. If UK plays like they "can", they win by 12...if they play "young", they lose by 3.
February 17, 200719 yr The big three from Bama leave me a bit leary about this game. My heart says UK but my head thinks it will be a very tough game. Both teams need this game. UK 71 Bama 69
February 17, 200719 yr In the CJ this morning Tubby said he will "shake-up" the starting line up. Said he may start Orbzut or Thomas or Meeks. I predict he will start Meeks to try and stir things up.
February 17, 200719 yr that's a part of being young. Sorry.. starting a senior, 3 juniors, and 1 freshman doesn't make you young in my book. I know half (seriously, 7 of 14) of the roster is freshmen, but Jasper and Meeks are the only two playing quality minutes.
February 17, 200719 yr ^ they both are serious ball handlers though...being a senior down low...doesn't help if you aren't getting the ball thrown to you on nearly every posession.
February 17, 200719 yr ^ they both are serious ball handlers though...being a senior down low...doesn't help if you aren't getting the ball thrown to you on nearly every posession. You don't see them in together typically though. And when Meeks is in, he's not the primary ball handler. Also, you can deal with freshmen mistakes because you expect them. You don't expect your juniors and seniors to be the ones turning it over. At UT Meeks had 4 TOs, but Perry had 4 too, and Bradley had 6.
