The Reds have now jumped into the #1 position in MLB in a category you don't want to lead and that is having the most strikeouts in baseball they have jumped from #3 to #1 and now led the Pirates by 12 K's. They have 1220 in only 128 games that is an average of over 9.5 K's out of 27 outs in game. So over 1/3 of their outs are strikeouts. Sad. Some numbers the Reds have 4 players with over 100 strikeouts: Suarez 138, Elly 133, Stewart 121, and McLain 104. Elly has only played in 109 games and has 428 at bats. Suarez has only played in 95 games and has struck out 138 times in just 341 at bats. That is an unreal number.

The Reds start their 9-game road trip with a weekend series in Arizona, then on to San Fran for 3 and then close out the road trip with 3 games with the Cubs.
