Reds 2-0 after 8.

Reds win! This is the 3rd in a row and are now 3-1.

I'm not exactly a John Sadak TV broadcasting fan, but he did have a pretty good quip tonight about Sal Stewart.  I'm paraphrasing, but he basically said that if your batting average resembles a jet plane (at that time, his average was .727), you're doing pretty good.  Sal did strikeout later in the game and his average has cooled to .667.  I've got my eye on Sal and McLain.

Well the official scorer changed a hit by Hayes to an E7 so the Reds are now being no-hit through 5 innings. They just left the bases loaded with one out on back-to-back strikeouts by McLain and De La Cruz. They are still down 6-1.

After 6 full, Pirates 6-1, Reds still no hits.

Reds get a hit thank goodness. lol

After 7 full, Pirates 6-1, Trevino gets a single.

Reds get a run back on an opposite field homer by Elly! Then back-to-back by Sal Stewart It is now 6-3 Pirates.

The Reds with back-to back hits by Suarez and Myers they have runners on first and third with no outs and the tying run at the plate in Marte.

Lowe lines into a double play to end the inning it is now 6-3 Pirates after 8.

Well that probably does it the Pirates get back the two runs the Reds got on a two-run home by Cruz his 2nd of the game and the Pirates go back up 5 at 8-3.

The Reds lose 8-3 but a horrible stat for the game the Reds left 11 runners on base and was 0-10 with runners in scoring position. The rubber match is tomorrow with the first "Business Man Special" with a 1st pitch at 12:40pm.
