February 12, 200719 yr I am so tired of what ifs, so here's a really big one for you. If LSU beats us who's going to start the thread how much better would we be with big baby or Alabama how much with Steele and so on and so forth.
February 12, 200719 yr I think it is a natural process that leads us to play what if. When things are not going as well as people would like, they naturally think of what might have made them better. And this being a discussion board, what better place? Thats kind of what we do.

As Watsui said this will not stop, it makes for discussion but it also imo makes no sense. My question has always been "what does it matter"? To me anyway it goes back to the old "if a frog had wings............." statement.
February 12, 200719 yr What "if" our fans started supporting UK better instead of constantly whining?
February 12, 200719 yr The "what ifs" do not bother me near as much as all the recruiting gurus that know why Tubby missed on such and such recruit and even provide reasons and thoughts as to what transpired in Tubby's head while recruiting kids.

If LSU beats us who's going to start the thread how much better would we be with big baby or Alabama how much with Steele and so on and so forth. Not a very good analogy IMO. Neither Davis or Steele are from the area and expressed interest in becoming a Cat only to be turned away. I really think that Tubby dropped the ball more on Brendan Wright from Nashville. I saw him play in high school and he was a Cat fan big time. He wore a Ron Mercer UK jersey. Mercer was his idol. Somewhere along the line he got detoured to Chapel Hill. Tell me he wouldn't be having an impact on this year's team.

February 12, 200719 yr Who would want Big Baby on our team? Not me. Yeah, consensus All-american. #2 in scoring in the SEC. #1 in rebounding. Yeah you're right... who would want all that?
February 12, 200719 yr Who would want Big Baby on our team? Not me. He would compliment Morris very well.
February 12, 200719 yr Yeah, consensus All-american. #2 in scoring in the SEC. #1 in rebounding. Yeah you're right... who would want all that? 6'8" 300 pounder, floating around the 3-point line. Just what we need.
February 12, 200719 yr 6'8" 300 pounder, floating around the 3-point line. Just what we need. I wonder how he leads the SEC in rebounds from out there? I think you should do a little homework prior to your posts. JMO.
February 12, 200719 yr I wonder how he leads the SEC in rebounds from out there? I think you should do a little homework prior to your posts. JMO. I have done my homework and its JMO that I am glad he is playing for last place LSU. By the way, he is also 14-40 from the 3-point line and leads LSU in turnovers with 68. If he played offense on the post, like most 300-pounders, he wouldn't be leading the team in turnovers.

The turnovers may have to do with the fact that he draws a triple team under the basket every trip. I think you may also find that shooting 35% from outside the arc isn't all that bad either for a guy that leads the conference in rebounding and is second in scoring. The kid is a monster down low, if you can't see that its because you don't want to. He would be a great addition to any team.
