Many of you questioned my stance from December that Sacred Heart's run was over and Assumption was not only going to win the 7th, but would then do a lot of damage in Lexington.  They left no doubt tonight at Atherton.

They and GRC on a crash course at the Sweet 16!!!

Congrats to the Valkyries on an INCREDIBLE run.  So impressive.

Congrats to the Rockets.

Indeed - terrific run by SHA.

Time for a new Champ,

Best of luck rest of the way AHS.

That was a great call and you made it early in the season!

We'll likely never see another run like SHA's in our lifetimes.

Just unbelievable.

Assumption led 43-39 and outscored Sacred Heart 26-12 in the final quarter.  Ashlinn James led Assumption with 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals.  Kylie Moore added 17 points and nine rebounds.  Se'Rae Bundrent-Palmer recorded 14 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Ava Moore chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.  Eulaila Powell added four points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Brianna Wilkins led Sacred Heart with 21 points including three three point baskets, six of eight free throws and four rebounds.  Tootie Jordan added 14 points and five rebounds.  Riley Gilvin recorded eight points and eight rebounds.  Tahri Ralston chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Emma Zutterman added three points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

IU is getting a STEAL in Ashlinn James.  She just plays the game differently.

I never questioned you.

I knew you knew.

How well does Assumption match up with GRC? The Lady Cards look like an All Star team. They won their three regional games by an average of 50.3 points.
