-Martin County, so good, Next Gen Prospects ranked them twice, putting them at 19th and 24th.

-Most/all of these rankings were presumably reflective of games before Monday and Tuesday.  St. X may very well have been #1 anyway, but perhaps not quite as unanimously as they were.  Every media ranking had them at the top, and 15 of the 16 voters in the media rankings had them tops following their victory in the LIT.  Male, who they avenged an earlier loss to, got the other first place vote.  Both fell on Tuesday ahead of their rematch this Friday.  It'll be interesting to see what effect it has on their ranking next week.

-Madison Central was a near-unanimous #2 choice, and their only loss this year was to St. X.  With X's losses, might Madison Central get a shot at the top spot if they knock off Frederick Douglass?

-We're down to only three consensus top five teams this week, as St. X and Madison Central are joined by Daviess County as the only teams in all seven top five rankings.  Covington Catholic just missed, as the always fantastic Kentucky High School Sports Zone ranked them sixth.  Male was outside two top fives, as both Big Things Kentucky and NextGen Prospects had them 7th and 6th, respectively.

-The same seven teams are consensus top ten teams - St. X, Madison Central, Daviess County, Covington Catholic, Male, Warren Central, and George Rogers Clark.  As with last week, Frederick Douglass was the next closest team, with only NextGen Prospects having them on the outside, at 11th.  Of course, this was before they lost to Henry Clay, so they may find themselves more on the outside next week. In all, 13 teams were ranked in at least one top ten. Boyd County, North Laurel, Ballard, Jeffersontown, and Butler were all ranked in at least one.

-All of those teams comprised the list of teams who were rated in every poll with one addition - North Oldham.  They weren't ranked in any top tens, but were rated no lower than 22nd in any poll.  Considering they just knocked off St. X, they may appear in one of the top tens come next week.

-This week had slightly less craziness in teams being ranked super high but dropping down to unranked in others.  McCracken County is still being ranked oddly by Kentucky High School Sports Zone.  Every other outlet has them either 11th or 12th, but KYHSZ has them totally unranked, again.  They still have only the two losses to Kentucky competition, and both of those teams are in KYHSZ's top 8.  It's just bizarre.

-Bell County fell to Boyd County in the 2A Championships last week, which cost them their top ten credentials where they had them, and their status as a consensus ranked team.  In the case of NextGen Prospects, it cost them their ranking entirely.  They were the only ones who had them unranked, with most of the others having them 14-16.  The media rankings had them 21st, which was actually UP one from the previous week.

-The greatest disparity this week belongs to Jeffersontown, who despite being ranked in all polls and four different polls having them in the top ten, had 16 spots between their high ranking of 9 (in both NextUp Recruits and Big Things Kentucky) and their low ranking of 25, again by NextGen Prospects.  That was the same ranking they had them the week before, but it's not like they did much.  They only pummelled North Oldham by 25, who NextGen Prospects had *checks notes* 15th.  You know, light work.

-Danville Christian returned to the rankings after a week away as Nations Elite brings them back in following a four game winning streak.

-Newport joined them as a new team in the ranks this week, as they see their first ranking of the season, bringing the total to 48 teams that were ranked in the top 25 of at least one poll this year.  Newport slots in at #21 in Kentucky High School Sports Zone's rankings.

-Adair County, Russell, and South Oldham all slide out of the polls this week.  Russell lost their champion when Martin Media chose not to release any ranks this week.

-We had eight unicorns this week (teams rated in only a single poll), with Kentucky High School Sports Zone (as usual) accounting for most.  Highlands (Media 17), Clinton County (KYHSZ 19), Johnson Central (KYHSZ 20), Newport (KYHSZ 21), Montgomery County (KYHSZ 23), Pikeville (Media 23), Danville Christian (Nations ELite 25), and Woodford County (Big Things Kentucky 25) all scraped in a single ranking.  KSR still with no unicorns....

-Five teams were reverse unicorns this week (rated in all but one poll), with McCracken County (unranked KYHSZ), Bell County (NextGen), Grayson County (Media), Bryan Station (NextGen), and Seneca (KYHSZ) narrowly missing conensus)

-We went over it already, but these were the consensus ranked teams:

St. X
Madison Central
Daviess County
Covington Catholic
Male
Warren Central
George Rogers Clark
Frederick Douglass
Boyd County
North Laurel
Ballard
Jeffersontown
Butler
North Oldham
