Anybody know what type of talent will return for the Christian County Tigers?

Hopkinsville High School:
Hoptown's 2025 team was fairly senior-heavy, and they graduate both their top rusher and top receiver, along with most of last years receiving corps in May. Most of their 2025 starting linemen were seniors, as well. Assuming they will matriculate to the new Christian County High School:

- QB1 Jasiah McCarley is a rising junior. He was 101-207 (48.8%) passing last year for 2067 yards and 21 TDs with 6 INTs. He only ran the ball 7 times for a net 18 yards and 1 TD.
- #2 RB Jeremiah Smith is a rising junior. He saw limited time in the backfield behind senior Bradley James, who had over 1400 rushing yards last year, but Smith rushed 48 times for 298 yards and 4 touchdowns, averaging a solid 6.2 yards per carry.
- TE Tremayne Clay is a rising senior and was their #2 receiver in 2025 with 54 solo tackles, 3 sacks, 2 INTs and 2 forced fumbles. He had 24 catches for 582 yards (24.25 ypc) and 6 TDs. Tremayne was also their #2 tackler on defense at LB.
- LB Griffen Meacham is a rising junior and was their #4 tackler on defense with 40 solo tackles.
- DE Jordan Catlett is a rising senior and was their #5 tackler on defense with 34 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.
- DB Jayon Bass is a rising junior and was their #6 tackler on defense with 32 solo tackles and 3 INTs. He also contributed on offense at WR.

Christian County High School:
Christian County's 2025 team struggled immensely in the shadow of the impending consolidation. This May they graduate their starting QB, virtually all of their receiving corps, and 4 of their top 7 defensive players in terms of tackling. They only graduate 1 of their starting linemen. Assuming they will matriculate to the new Christian County High School:

- #1 RB Deasian Harris is a rising senior. He had 109 carries for 584 yards and 6 TDs, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. At DE he was their #4 tackler with 42 total tackles and 2 sacks.
- #2 RB Tristin Dillard is a rising senior. He had 39 carries for 145 yards and 2 TDs, averaging 3.7 yards per carry.
- LB Bryson Ford is a rising sophomore. He was their #1 tackler with 74 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 1 fumble recovery.
- LB Paul Abren is a rising senior. He was their #2 tackler with 71 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

From their last games I found:

Hopkinsville returning starters: 5 Offense & 6 Defense.

Christian County: 5 offense & 5 defense.

Will be interesting to see it play out. Year 1 tough schedule will get them ready to be better in year 2.

Very challenging schedule for a new school. Maybe the tuffest in the state for a public school but I do like it. Shows Coach Lopez has set the bar high, many feel it’s going take some years to be competitive but I think it could happen quicker than most. Stadium of Champions is getting a new turf field, new weight room and new football complex at the stadium. Exciting times for football fans in Hopkinsville.

Excited to see what Lopez and staff do this year will be very interesting to watch!

Interesting schedule! I believe in Coach Lopez. I have heard nothing but great things. This school will have a lot of talent roaming the halls, so it will be cool to see what they can do.

Hopefully they come through for Coach Lopez. A lot promised, but the school system doesn't usually deliver. This team will essentially be Hoptown from last year with a little more depth from the Christian County roster. Hoptown competed well against South Warren all things considered. They have a really good QB and that's where it all starts on any team.

....there's a five hour drive between Hopkinsville, KY and Baxter, KY for that game at Harlan County.

Christian County is no longer playing Harlan County. Their bye week will move to October 2 and they will now be hosting Somerset on Oct 23.

Looks like a long season for these guys to me. More players don’t equal better players.

Goal should be a district championship which is entirely possible. You do that and you’ve got a shot to get to round 3 of the playoffs which would be a really good first season for them.

It is Possible the first game of the season might get moved to Cooper because of construction at the Stadium of Champions not being completed?

I think you guys have way to much optimism is this team that CC team from last year just barely beat Caverna one of the smallest teams in the state and Hopkinsville seems like most of their players graduated so I think they may take some beatings but me personally have no skin in the game so I wish them the best.

Hoptowns best player graduated but they did return their qb, 2nd leading receiver, 3 OL starters, and 6 defensive starters.

Also from what I was told Christian County best talent was in the younger classes. They only graduated 6 guys off their roster.

So I think a 4-6 to 5-5 season is certainly attainable for year one but the schedule does them no favors. Excited to see how it plays out personally.

I hope your right but I won’t be surprised if they really stink it up against some of these teams.
