? Pavlov's Dawg Drooling For A Crack At Bell

It's been a while since the 90s heyday of football in Louisa. The Bulldogs are trending that way again with their winningest season in sixteen years and first region final in ten.

This is old hat by now for Bell County, who's been there, done that in the quarterfinal round eight years in a row and too many times to count under the guidance of legendary Dudley Hilton.

Nothing's changed much on Log Mountain, as the Bobcats will line up and come straight at you like it's 1985. Kaleb Miller is the latest in an assembly line of productive backs and Blake Burnett is quietly forging a legacy as one of the great all-around players in the recent history of the Bobcats.

Lawrence County has made strides to diversify its reputation since the late Chuke Williams was pacing the sidelines. The Dawgs are as balanced as they've ever been, with Luke Fetherolf having perhaps the greatest passing season in program history, supplemented by a still formidable ground game.

Wins have proven elusive for Lawrence in games of this magnitude over the last quarter century. The hallowed ground of Log Mountain sets the scene for Lawrence County's revitalization or Bell County's continued placement among 3A’s premier programs.

Burnett does a great job running Bell's offense at quarterback, but he does his best work as a master thief in the secondary.

- Currently leads the state in interceptions with 9.

- #5 all-time in picks with 27

- Responsible for 71 career touchdowns (passing, running, and pick-sixes)

Really great player who goes largely unnoticed, statewide. He's been doing it since day one of his freshman year.

He may end up having the greatest impact on how this game unfolds.

This should be battle. I like Bell by 6.

Another game I’d really like to see.   Too many good ones this week to choose from

Lawrence advanced into Bell territory before turning the ball over on downs at the Bell 49.

Still scoreless.

Touchdown Bell County.

Kaleb Miller takes it in from a yard out on fourth and goal. Two point conversion was good.

It was all set up by a Burnett 40 yard keeper.

A bad snap gets away from Fetherolf to diffuse a Lawrence drive. They were deep in Bell territory at the time.

The fumble was scooped by Bell for a touchdown, but the score was negated by a flag.

Bell ball at its own 27.

Still 8-0.
