GW did a good job slowing down Hampton and getting pressure to Ganaway but had no answer for Dillard in the quick routes or the Devils passing game in general. Bryant, Fountain and Shemwell(Khalil) all had a good night in the passing game. I’ve said it and I’ll keep saying it. Dillard is a great receiver, maybe even a generational level talent, I haven’t seen a receiver of his caliber in a Red Devil jersey. He makes bad throws look like good ones. What makes it even crazier is he usually the smallest guy on the field.

Greenwood will be the best team O has played since O’Cath. That said

I’m still not sure I want to call Owensboro the favorite in 5A but they are really really good! Fellow Red Devil fans I can’t fault y’all for going all in on this team. Greenwood has a solid squad but the Red Devils made them look like some of the non playoff teams on their schedule. Next week the transfer DL kid should be playing and Morris should be back from injury at WR. Looking forward to the Fairdale game!

After last nights performance against Cooper I’d say SC has to be the favorite. Woodford, BG, Atherton all playing good football atm. Any of these teams can beat a non focused/ non executing Devils squad. But if the Devils come to play I like our chances with anyone in 5A…. Can’t wait to see what Pollum does on the DLine. GW pushed our DLine around all night, safeties had to make way too many tackles. I’m hoping he can be the stop to that. 

The Devils were the only team all season to put up more than 35 against GW. They didn’t play a slouch schedule by no means either
