This will be a breakout year for the Junior, and I look to see his 6’5” frame fill out and start garnering interest from some big names collegiately.

Davie is a sophomore Mr. Pie.

CCMS is not big enough.  But, I would like to see it at NKU.  It may not be possible with them also hosting the 9th Region Tournament.  It’s a nice change to have it in a modern college arena every 4 years.  But in the future, I can see the 37th picking Harrison County and its new gym.  I think the attendance will be highest in Cynthiana because it is close to NKY and Lexington, and is the true middle of the 10th Region.

Its possible but you'd have to get creative. NKU is mainly full that week with 9th Boys, 9th Girls, plus having to hold 2 dates for Horizon League Tournament. Not to mention the extra cost of hosting there.

Even though the 4 schools that are in the 37th District are closer to NKU than over half the 9th Region lol.

Very interesting concept of middle.  Isn’t Harrison Co the 10th Region’s furthest county west and being adjacent to Fayette tied with Montgomery for most southern.  Not sure either my geography or geometry teachers would smile if I concluded Cynthiana is the middle of the 10th Region.

Drove up to Paris, KY to take in the Russ Day Classic. Caught the end of the Pendleton/Conner game and was able to take in Harrison/Cooper with Holthaus at the helm. Final Scores below.

Conner 63 Pendleton 57

Cooper 61 Harrison 36

I'm not opposed to Cynthiana as the all time place when their gym is done. It's about as centrally located as it gets. But I have a feeling it will never stop rotating now, and we'll be driving somewhere different every season.

With the Fieldhouse and 2 high-quality (GRC, Moco) venues in the 40th now, and another on the way at Harrison Co, I don't see it not being on a rotation.

The Courier-Journal Coach's Top 10 List looks like this.

1.) George Rogers Clark

2.) Montgomery County

3.) Campbell County

4.) Nicholas County

5.) Bourbon County

6.) Pendleton County

7.) Scott

8.) Harrison County

9.) Bishop Brossart

10.) Mason County

I take issue with a few of them, but overall, we're all seeing GRC at the top, and everyone else chasing them.

GRC has 3 of the top 7 players in the region. Should be overwhelming favorites.

Anyone you think is too high? Or anyone not in the top 10 that you think should be?

Scott beat St. Bernard-Elmwood Place 73-59 today at Simon Kenton.

Any details from the game.  I was unable to make it out to the scrimmages today.

Leaving the suburbs of Louisville and the best team of the 8th Region for Mt. Sterling two days before the season starts.  Interesting.
