The Tennessee Vols (5-2) (2-2) make the trip up I-75 to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (2-4) (0-4. The Cats coming off a tough loss vs. Texas and the Vols are coming off a game where they were pretty much handled by the Crimson Tide. Hopefully the Cats will carry their good play from the Texas game into this one. The game is scheduled for a late 7:45pm kick and is on the SEC Network. Go Cats!!

This will be a soul crushing loss. Tennessee can score, Kentucky can not.

42 to 13 unfortunately.

The season for all intents may end next Saturday night.

My heart voted for the Cats.  Want to believe a fire in their bellies was unleashed and that game against Texas is just the beginning.  My head tells me it is just a temporary case of heartburn and the nitro glycerin will not be necessary.

This is my annual observation that UK gets more home night games than any other team in America.

As for the game, UK definitely isn't beating Tennessee with the offense they displayed yesterday. While Boley's completion numbers look good, they will have to do more than short passes and screens behind the LOS.

Vols win by a couple scores.

They generally get home night games in October for sure, due to Keeneland. Other school's fans love coming to Lexington in October to hit the track in the day and then beat Kentucky that night. I think UK uses any pull that it may have, to get October games scheduled at night after the races.

ESPN generally only has a couple of SEC noon games and one is generally the third or fourth best game of the day involving SEC schools. That gives UK a better shot at later afternoon and night games now than in the past. If they aren't playing a marquee opponent, those night games are on ESPNU or SEC+ a lot of the time. Our opponents dictate the good time slots we get more than who Kentucky is. I guess that's one positive of playing in the SEC.

Tennessee 27-20.

Of course the Texas and Miss. State game is heading to OT! At least the Cats will be starting on ESPN News and not the SEC Network+

Well that didn't take long...7-0 UT.

4 plays for 75 yards and we go 5 plays for 16 yards and punt. This is not a good start.

Well it looks like we are back to same ole Kentucky football! Just sorry terrible football all the way around! Pick 6 and now it is 14-0 Vols with still 7:00 minutes left in the first quarter.

Nice defensive stand by Cats to back Vols up and force punt.

Offense got a first down, then ball gets batted at line scrimmage and Vol player grabs it out of the air for a pick 6.

Hey maybe we are not dead yet a WR screen for 71 yards and now it is 14-7 Vols.
