On Friday, October 3rd the Anderson County Bearcats will travel to Georgetown to take on the Scott County Cardinals.

Anderson County comes off a district loss to South Oldham. They played a great defensive game, only holding a 7-0 deficit at the half. Anderson County’s Offense had some bright moments. But  while they made it inside the 5, they could never punch it in losing 27-0 in the end.

Scott County is coming in off of a blowout of Collins. They went up 21-0 early second quarter, 38-0 early 3rd quarter and took their key players out, which allowed Collins the Opportunity to make the final score look a bit better. The game finished 38-14 Scott County.

The past few seasons in this newer district it’s been all Scott County. The combined score is 97-12 favoring the cardinals. Anderson County has been on an upward trajectory however, Scott County can’t go into this game thinking about what the team meal will be post game or this could turn into a potential monumental upset.

This is also Scott County’s homecoming, as they are on the road their final 3 games.

Anderson is getting much better under Buchanan. They have some size but are limited to what #12 can do.  South left some points on the field last night and their all new line had some mistakes. Scott's speed and talent will show out early and often.

Personally, I think Scott County will have similar success as they have in previous years. Hopefully we can get 2s in decently early. We’re a bit banged up at the moment.

From the bits and pieces I’ve seen, Scott County is simply doing whatever they want on both sides of the ball. Anderson has been held to only one first down.
